Abstract:
A computerized method (and structure) of implementing a business-to-business (B2B) boarding process includes providing a set of questions related to the B2B boarding process to a new business to be boarded into an existing B2B system.
Abstract:
A multi-threshold integrated circuit (IC) with reduced subthreshold leakage and method of reducing leakage. Selectable supply switching devices (NFETs and/or PFETS) between a logic circuit and supply connections (Vdd and Ground) for the circuit have higher thresholds than normal circuit devices. Some devices may have thresholds lowered when the supply switching devices are on. Header/footer devices with further higher threshold voltages and widths may be used to further increase off resistance and maintain/reduce on resistance. Alternatively, high threshold devices may be stacked to further reduce leakage to a point achieved for an even higher threshold. Intermediate supply connects at the devices may have decoupling capacitance and devices may be tapered for optimum stack height and an optimum taper ratio to minimize circuit leakage and circuit delay.
Abstract:
A roadway or fence comprises a series of panels linked together by means of flexible joints. A series of the panels is prevented from separating into discrete panels by means of a compression rod. Lengths of the panels thus connected are secured to further such lengths using a coupling device.
Abstract:
An apparatus for fastening a line supporting a fender on a vessel has a body portion defining a first bore extending through the body portion for receiving the line, and a second bore spaced apart from the first bore and extending through the body portion for receiving the line after it is passed through the first bore and wrapped around a rail on the vessel. A handle portion is generally U-shaped for receiving the body portion between opposing sides of the handle portion and is slidable relative to the body portion. A drive arm is pivotally mounted on one end to the body portion, and is coupled on another end to the opposing sides of the handle portion. The drive arm defines a toothed surface and is spring biased for engaging the line extending through the second bore with the toothed surface to lock the line in place. The toothed surface of the drive arm is moved into and out of engagement with the line by moving the handle portion toward and away from the body portion.
Abstract:
The invention provides a method for preparing a hydrogel from a hydrophilic polymer having one or more functional groups which are capable of co-reacting in a condensation reaction which method comprises the steps of: (i) preparing a solution of the polymer; (ii) heating the solution to a temperature sufficient for the condensation reaction to take place for a period of time sufficient for the hydrogel to cross-link wherein where the hydrophilic polymer comprises a first and a second hydrophilic polymer, step (i) comprises a step of mixing the hydrophilic polymers to prepare a homogeneous intimate mixture of the polymers; and wherein the heating step (ii) is carried out at a pressure greater than atmospheric pressure. The method of the invention is advantageous because it is relatively low cost, it is a safer procedure with less health & safety concerns, it is carried out in a liquid state and is not limited by film thickness.
Abstract:
An integrated circuit including a pipeline and a method of operating the pipeline. Each stage of the pipeline is triggered by one or more triggering events and are individually, and selectively, stalled by a stall signal. For each stage a stall signal, delayed with respect to the stall signal of a downstream stage, is generated and used to select whether the pipeline stage in question is triggered. A data valid signal propagating with valid data adds further selection, such that only stages with valid data are stalled.
Abstract:
Leakage current control devices include a circuit having one or more functions in a data path where the functions are executed in a sequence. Each of the functions has power reduction logic to energize each respective function. A leakage control circuit interacts with the power reduction logic, so that the functions are energized or deenergized in a control sequence such that the functions where the data is resident are energized and at least one of the other functions is not energized.
