Abstract: A battery pack is configured to supply electric power to an electric work machine, such as a power tool or outdoor power equipment. The battery pack includes a first battery-signal terminal and a second battery-signal terminal. The first battery-signal terminal outputs, to the electric work machine, a first signal indicating that discharging is to be prohibited or permitted. The second battery-signal terminal outputs, to the electric work machine, a second signal indicating that discharging is to be prohibited or permitted. Thus, two communication paths are provided for transmitting signals to permit or prohibit discharging of the battery pack.

Abstract: A battery-powered portable tool (1) and/or a battery pack (174; 174′) connected thereto contain(s) a high-temperature measurement circuit (61, 62, 64; 64-67), a low-temperature measurement circuit (61, 64; 64-66), and a switching apparatus (63; Q 1, Q 2) for selecting and/or outputting a signal from (i) the low-temperature measurement circuit when an output value of the high-temperature measurement circuit enters an abnormal range or (ii) the high-temperature measurement circuit when an output value of the low-temperature measurement circuit enters an abnormal range, which are powered by at least one all-solid-state battery (12, 14, 16, 18) provided in the battery pack. Such an arrangement makes it possible to efficiently make use of the at least one all-solid-state battery that is usable over a wide temperature range, whereby the battery-powered tool becomes usable over a wider temperature range than known battery-powered tools.

Abstract: An interlocking adapter in one aspect of the present disclosure includes a current path, an electric load, a switch, and a controller. The controller turns on and off the switch in synchronization with a change of an alternating-current voltage received from an electric outlet of an electric apparatus in response to reception of an interlocking command signal from a working machine so as to supply a load current from the electric outlet to the electric load. The controller turns on and off the switch at a specified ratio of a time every ½ cycle of the alternating-current voltage.

Abstract: A device of the present disclosure includes an electronic component, a metal plate, a housing, and a wavelength selective heat radiating member. The metal plate is thermally coupled to the electronic component. The housing houses the electronic component and the metal plate. The wavelength selective heat radiating member is mounted on a surface of the metal plate, so as to face an inner side surface of a specific portion of the housing. The wavelength selective heat radiating member is configured to convert thermal energy from the electronic component into heat radiation having a wavelength that penetrates the specific portion of the housing, and emit the heat radiation toward the inner side surface of the specific portion of the housing.
