摘要： In the preparation of thermoplastic elastomers by hydrosilylation crosslinking of the elastomeric component, the use of an elastomer containing a non-conjugated diene and having a Mooney viscosity within the MST range of 45 to 100 provides products with a high level of crosslinking and an improved combination of physical properties. This improvement is obtained even at low concentrations of hydrosilylation catalyst.

摘要： Thermoplastic elastomers containing ethylene, alpha-olefin, vinyl norbornene elastomeric polymers provide superior cure levels to thermoplastic elastomers containing ethylene, alpha-olefin, diene monomer elastomeric polymers with other dienes than vinyl norbornene. The elastomeric polymers, along with a thermoplastic, curative, and other components will have cure levels in excess of 95 percent. Lower diene incorporation into the polymer combined with lower curative levels yield a fabricated article with improved resistance to compression set and improved heat aging.

摘要： Heat shrinkable thermoplastic compositions are prepared by blending an ethylene copolymer resin with an EPDM rubber and dynamically vulcanizing the rubber. The ethylene copolymer resin is a copolymer of ethylene with an alkyl ester of an alpha, beta monoethylenically unsaturated monocarboxylic acid as well as copolymers of ethylene with the acid per se. The preferred copolymer is ethylene-vinylacetate copolymer. Uncured rubber can be included in the composition.

摘要： Heat shrinkable thermoplastic compositions are prepared by blending an ethylene copolymer resin with a rubber and dynamically vulcanizing the rubber. The ethylene copolymer resin is a copolymer of ethylene with an alkyl ester of an alpha, beta monoethylenically unsaturated monocarboxylic acid as well as copolymers of ethylene with the acid per se. The preferred copolymer is ethylene-vinyl-acetate copolymer. The preferred rubber is halogenated butyl rubber. Uncured rubber can be included in the composition.
