摘要: A method of producing at least one or more resins is disclosed. The method includes providing an amount of raw coal. The raw coal includes one or more impurities therein. The method also includes beneficiating the amount of raw coal to selectively removing at least a portion of some of the one or more impurities in the raw coal to form beneficiated coal. Additionally, the method includes processing the beneficiated coal to produce an amount of pitch. The method further includes modifying at least some of the pitch to produce the one or more resins. The one or more resins include a selected amount of a remainder of the one or more impurities that were not removed while beneficiating the amount of the raw coal, processing the beneficiated coal, and modifying at least some of the pitch.

There is provided a method for producing heterophasic propylene polymerization material particles, the method including: (1) performing monomer polymerization in the presence of a catalyst including a solid catalyst component so as to obtain a component I; (2) performing monomer polymerization in the presence of the component I so as to obtain the component II, so that particles including a volatile component are produced; and (3) causing the particles to contact with an inert gas-containing stream so as to remove the volatile component from the particles.

摘要: The purpose of the invention is to provide: a package for EVOH resin pellets which is capable of providing the EVOH resin pellets almost free from powder even in a case where the package contains the powder generated therein during transportation or the like after shipment; and EVOH resin pellets contaminated with very small amount of the powder in a case where a user uses the EVOH resin pellets as a molding material. A package, where pellets each having a substantially circular or oval cross-section are packed in a packaging container whose inner surface has a surface resistivity of 1.0×1014Ω or more, is capable of providing pellets to which 0.8 wt % or less of powder adhered relative to the weight of the pellets.

摘要: Methods and systems for pelletizing low molecular weight semi-crystalline polymers are provided herein. Polymer compositions comprising the semi-crystalline polymer and a solvent are provided to a devolatilizing device, where the solvent is at least partially evaporated under vacuum conditions, resulting in removal of heat from the polymer by evaporative cooling and crystallization of the polymer. Once the polymer has reached the desired temperature, the polymer exits the devolatilizer and is pelletized. Semi-crystalline polymers that may be used in the present invention include propylene-based copolymers, such as propylene-ethylene and propylene-hexene copolymers having a heat of fusion, Hf, from about 5 to about 75 J/g and a weight average molecular weight, Mw, from about 10,000 to about 200,000 g/mol.
