Abstract: A multi-valve for a cooling system of a motor vehicle includes: a valve housing, which has a plurality of inlets and a plurality of outlets and delimits a cylindrical valve chamber, the plurality of inlets and the plurality of outlets opening into the cylindrical valve chamber; and a valve unit, which is arranged inside the cylindrical valve chamber of the valve housing and is rotatable about an axis of rotation between a plurality of switching positions by an actuator. Depending on a switching position of the valve unit, different inlets of the plurality of inlets are fluidically connectable to different outlets of the plurality of outlets. The valve unit has a plurality of fluid channel structures which are offset from one another in a circumferential direction. Each switching position of the plurality of switching positions is respectively assigned a fluid channel structure of the plurality of fluid channel structures.

Abstract: The present invention relates to an internal combustion engine arrangement for a vehicle, said internal combustion engine arrangement comprising a combustion cylinder housing a reciprocating combustion piston, and an expansion cylinder housing a reciprocating expansion piston, said expansion cylinder being arranged in downstream fluid communication with the combustion cylinder for receiving combustion gases exhausted from the combustion cylinder, wherein the internal combustion engine arrangement further comprises a pressure tank arranged in fluid communication with the expansion cylinder, wherein the internal combustion engine arrangement is further arranged to be operated in a first operating mode in which compressed gas generated in the expansion cylinder is delivered to the pressure tank, and a second operating mode in which compressed gas contained in the pressure tank is delivered from the pressure tank to the expansion cylinder.

Abstract: A rocker arm comprises a first outer arm and a second outer arm joined by a pivot body, the first outer arm comprising an inner side, the inner side comprising a limiting surface. An actuatable latch mechanism is within the pivot body. A first inner arm and a second inner arm are joined by a latch arm. An axle joins the first inner arm and the second inner arm to pivot between the first outer arm and the second outer arm. A second axle is between the first inner arm and the second inner arm. A pin extends from the second axle towards the first outer arm, and the pin is configured to pivot towards and away from the limiting surface when the first inner arm and the second inner arm pivot between the first outer arm and the second outer arm.

Abstract: A rocker arm can comprise a first outer arm and a second outer arm joined by a pivot body. An actuatable latch mechanism is within the pivot body. An inner arm assembly comprises a latch arm. A first spring prop is on the inner arm assembly distal from the latch arm. An axle joins the inner arm assembly to pivot between the first outer arm and the second outer arm. A spring is biased against the first outer arm and against the first spring prop. The first spring prop can comprise a hooked end. Or, the first spring prop can extend laterally out from the rocker arm and parallel to the axle. The spring can comprise a one-piece spring comprising first and second coil springs connected by a lateral connector. Or, two separate torsion springs can comprising tangential spring ends extending at approximately 90 degrees.

Abstract: An intake valve for a combustion engine is described. The intake valve has a head portion that is designed to improve the flow of air-fuel mixture around the head portion and into the combustion chamber. The head portion has a beveled or rounded edge at the top surface. The angle changes from the underside surface to the top surface are rounded to prevent separation of the air-fuel mixture from the surface of the intake valve. In addition, the underside surface of the head portion has a plurality of helical grooves that induce a circular flow to improve mixing of the air-fuel mixture in the chamber. The helical grooves also improve heat exchange between the air-fuel mixture and the intake valve.

Abstract: An adjusting device for adjusting valve clearance of a charge-cycle valve of an internal combustion machine is provided. The adjusting device includes a pivoted rocker lever, at one end of which an actuation element is positioned configured to transfer a force to the charge-cycle valve. A transmission element is attached to the actuation element at an opposite end to the charge-cycle valve of which a sleeve area is positioned, which is used to support the transmission element regarding the actuation element. A method for adjusting valve clearance of a charge-cycle valve of an internal combustion machine using an adjusting device is also provided.

Abstract: A valve actuation system is disclosed for use with an internal combustion engine. The valve actuation system may have a rocker shaft, a rocker arm pivotally mounted on the rocker shaft, at least one cam follower and a pushrod connecting the at least one cam follower to the rocker arm. The valve actuation system may also have a plurality of gas exchange valves, and a bridge connecting the rocker arm to the valves. The valve actuation system may further have at least one spring disposed around each of the valves and configured to bias each of the valves toward closed positions, and a rotocoil configured to rotatably connect the at least one spring to each of the valves. The rotocoil may have an internal chamfer at a bridge end with an angle of about 26-28°. The at least one spring may have an assembled load of about 750-850 N.
