摘要: A heterogeneous composite consisting of near-nano ceramic clusters dispersed within a ductile matrix. The composite is formed through the high temperature compaction of a starting powder consisting of a core of ceramic nanoparticles held together with metallic binder. This core is clad with a ductile metal such that when the final powder is consolidated, the ductile metal forms a tough, near-zero contiguity matrix. The material is consolidated using any means that will maintain its heterogeneous structure.

摘要: A magnetic field communication system and method is devised for communicating a signal indicating an internal state of a bearing through a magnetic field and for converting the signal communicating through the magnetic field into power to analyze the internal state of the bearing. The system includes a sensor unit disposed inside a bearing and an adapter disposed outside the bearing. The sensor unit includes a sensor to detect a temperature of oil inside the bearing and to output a sensing signal indicative of the detected oil temperature, and an interface to convert the outputted sensing signal into a magnetic field signal and to transmit the magnetic field signal outside the bearing. The adapter receives the transmitted magnetic field signal from the sensor unit and analyzes the received magnetic field signal in order to determine a status of the oil temperature.

摘要: Construction is achieved that, together with preventing the occurrence of damage to a mandrel, is able to improve precision of the shape of a ring-shaped member after processing. A mandrel includes a pair of support shaft sections that are provided so as to be separated in the axial direction and so as to be concentric with each other, and a rolling shaft section that is concentrically provided in the axial direction between the pair of support shaft sections. One of the support shaft sections is provided in a state in which displacement in the axial direction with respect to the rolling shaft section is regulated. The other support shaft section is provided in a state in which displacement in a direction going away from the rolling shaft section is possible when a pressing force is applied in that direction.

The rolling bearing further includes at least one rolling bearing cage disposed around at least part of the rollers and configured to maintain a predetermined spacing of each of the rollers from each adjacent roller in the at least one row, wherein the rolling bearing cage comprises a plastic coated main body that is at least one of ring-shaped or segmented. The main body has openings for receiving the respective rolling elements.

摘要: There is provided a resin composition for a machinable liner of a sliding member. An ultraviolet curable resin composition for a self-lubricating liner contains a (meth)acrylate compound having an isocyanuric acid ring represented by the following formula and PTFE as a solid lubricant. In the formula (1), X is a group which contains an acryloyl group and is composed only of C, H, and O. Y and Z are groups each composed only of C, H, and O. PTFE is contained in an amount of 10 to 50% by weight with respect to a total amount of the ultraviolet curable resin composition. The ultraviolet curable resin composition is suitable for a self-lubricating liner 24 of a spherical bearing 20 having an outer race 22 and an inner race 26.

摘要: In an embodiment, a bearing apparatus includes a first bearing assembly including a plurality of first superhard bearing elements. The bearing apparatus further includes a second bearing assembly including a plurality of second superhard bearing elements generally opposing and bearing against the plurality of first superhard bearing elements of the first bearing assembly during operation. A support ring carries the plurality of second superhard bearing elements that are distributed circumferentially about an axis. More than one of the plurality of second superhard bearing elements includes an outer convex peripheral surface that is substantially cylindrical and exhibits a convex curvature, and a cutout at least partially defined by a concave peripheral surface that is substantially cylindrical and curved to generally correspond to the convex curvature of the outer convex peripheral surface. The cutout receives an adjacent one of the plurality of superhard bearing elements.

P2 is different from P1 and can be a fluoropolymer.
