    Abstract: A cooling system of an internal combustion engine system includes an engine cooling circuit for defining a flow path and direction for engine coolant fluid flowing through the internal combustion engine system. The cooling system also includes a heat exchanger assembly positioned along the engine cooling circuit. The heat exchanger assembly is structured to transfer heat from the engine coolant fluid to a working fluid and includes a shell defining an inner cavity, a core disposed within the inner cavity and structured to receive the working fluid, and a main flow path and a bypass flow path of the engine coolant fluid, the core comprising a baffle in the bypass flow path, the baffle including: a base portion coupled to an end of the core and a curved portion extending from the base portion such that the curved portion impedes a bypass flow of engine coolant fluid from continuing along the bypass flow path.

    Abstract: A method of operating a multi-phase electric machine includes operating a six-phase machine with six phases that are configured into a first group having a first neutral connection and a second group having a second neutral connection. The method also includes determining whether at least one of the six phases is experiencing a fault.     Abstract: A method and system are provided for repairing a nozzle ring having a defect adjacent a transition between a ring plate and an inner skirt of the nozzle ring, comprising: forming at least one cut to detach at least one of a portion of the inner skirt, a portion of the transition, and a portion of the ring plate, thereby forming a joint surface and removing at least a portion of the defect; providing a replacement ring including replacement components for the detached at least one of a portion of the inner skirt, a portion of the transition, and a portion of the ring plate; and attaching the replacement ring to the nozzle ring at the joint surface using one of brazing or welding.

    Abstract: A pump inlet valve includes a valve body and a plunger assembly. The valve body includes a valve body cavity. The plunger assembly is arranged within the valve body cavity and includes a plunger body, a plunger barrel formed at the plunger body so as to form a plunger barrel volume, and a plunger. The plunger is configured to move within the plunger barrel to thereby allow a fluid to flow past the plunger assembly when the plunger is in an open position and to inhibit the fluid from flowing past the plunger assembly when the plunger is in a closed position. The plunger is configured to allow continuous fluid communication between the plunger barrel volume and a supply inlet, through which fluid is supplied to the pump inlet valve.
