Magnesium-silicate bound zeolite granulates of type A are disclosed wherein the zeolite component does not contain magnesium exclusively, or contains no magnesium at all, as the cation. The granulates are produced by placing powdered zeolite A in a mixer, adding sodium silicate solution, mixing until zeolite granulates with a grain size of at least 0.1 mm are obtained, optionally after-rolling these zeolite granulates, optionally initially drying the moist zeolite granulates at temperatures of 20 to 39 degrees C., during which the carbon dioxide content of the drying air is adjusted to less than 200 ppm, then optionally drying in a second drying step at temperatures of 40-120 degrees C. and optionally in a third drying stage at 121-200 degrees C. under otherwise identical conditions, and then optionally activating the granulates thus obtained at temperatures of 600 degrees C. maximum. The granulates thus obtained are treated with an aqueous magnesium salt solution, washed, then optionally treated with aqueous metal salt solution, washed, dried at 40-200 degrees C., preferably 100 to 120 degrees C., and then optionally calcined at 300 to 650 degrees C.

Polymeric complex compounds of molybdenum, tungsten, manganese, rhenium and of the metals of the sub-groups VIII and I of the Periodic Table of Elements, which complex compounds have a silica-type structure are disclosed. At least one amine ##STR1## is bonded coordinately to the central metal atom. The atomic ratio of metal to nitrogen is from 1:1 to 1:10.sup.6. The required charge compensation is effected by means of an anion. In (1), R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 represent a group ##STR2## and R.sup.4 is an alkylene grouping. The oxygen atoms are saturated by silicon atoms of further groups (2), if appropriate with incorporation of crosslinking agents. R.sup.3 may have the meaning of R.sup.1 and R.sup.2, or represents hydrogen, an alkyl group, a cycloalkyl group or the benzyl group. The polymers can contain several metals. The invention also relates to processes for their preparation, and uses in catalysis.

C. under pressure of from 1 to 25 bars (total pressure at the reaction temperature) and in the presence of sulphidation catalysts known per se, in a given case followed by hydrolysis or partial hydrolysis of the reaction products. The bis-(silylethyl)-oligosulphides are used as reinforcing additives (adhesive agents) in crosslinkable rubber mixtures containing silicate fillers and in a given case carbon black as well as in a given case sulphur and other customary constituents.
