摘要: In some aspects, a modular analyte measurement system having a replaceable strip port module is provided to permit contaminated modules to be replaced. Some aspects of the present disclosure related to barriers for strip ports or the sealing of strip ports and/or analyte measurement devices to maintain a clean strip port and/or enable the strip port to be cleaned for reuse. Cleaning tools are also provided. Also provided are strip port interfaces that guide fluid away from the strip port opening, as well as absorptive elements that prevent fluid from entering a strip port. Analyte measurement devices with gravity sensors or accelerometers are also provided, along with methods related thereto. Also provided are docking station that serve as an information server and provides storage and recharging capabilities.

摘要: A strip connector includes a connector housing having a housing cavity and guide feature. A strip carrier slidable in the housing cavity includes a carrier body having a strip channel slidably receiving a test strip in an insertion direction. A first biasing member biases the strip carrier in an ejection direction opposite the insertion direction. A second biasing member acting orthogonal to the first biasing member biases the carrier body in a contact direction orthogonal to the ejection direction. First and second male members of the carrier body slide with respect to the guide feature and prevent strip contact direction carrier displacement until the male members are axially aligned with guide feature branches extending orthogonally to the guide feature. A test strip conductor contacts connector housing electrical contacts when the male members axially align with the branches and the second biasing member displaces the strip carrier in the contact direction.

摘要: A system and method for rapidly determining ambient temperature in a fluid-analyte meter. The meter includes a housing defining an interior space and an area for receiving a fluid sample. A processor and a first temperature sensor are disposed within the interior space of said the housing. A second temperature sensor is disposed on the housing. One or more processors are configured to determine a first temperature value from temperature data received from the first temperature sensor. The processor(s) are also configured to apply a variable current to a temperature-adjustment source such that the second temperature sensor is adjusted to a predetermined steady-state temperature value different from the first temperature value. The processor(s) are further configured to determine an ambient temperature of an exterior space of the housing based on the applied variable current, pre-determined steady-state temperature, and received first temperature values.

摘要: The controller divides a display of the display component provided to the main body case into a first display area that is disposed on a sensor mounting component side and displays measurement values, and a second display area that is disposed on the opposite side from the sensor mounting component side and displays input buttons. When the acceleration sensor has detected that the orientation of the main body case is inverted in a horizontal direction, the controller rotates a display of the first display area and a display of the second display area 180 degrees within each of these areas.

摘要: A multi-channel high performance embedded system is provided, which is capable of high throughput biological analysis. A configurable acquisition and processing architecture combines dedicated co-processors to perform signal filtering and other computational demanding tasks, with a central processor controlling the whole system. The mapping of the architecture into an architecture, such as the Zynq SoC, demonstrates the ability of the biosensing platform to support a significant number of sensors, while ensuring a high sampling frequency. Furthermore, the Zynq reconfiguration abilities provide a mechanism to adapt the processing and maximize the biological sensitivity.

A universal rapid diagnostics test tray for a reader is also disclosed that includes: a rapid diagnostics test component; a tray component that is designed to operatively couple with the reader, wherein the reader can analyze more than one different rapid diagnostics test components, while using the same universal rapid diagnostics test tray; and a security component, wherein the security component operatively secures the rapid diagnostics test component in place on the tray component, wherein the tray component can hold the at least one rapid diagnostics test component having a shape and a size in a fixed position relative to the imaging component and the illumination component.
