    摘要: A laser apparatus includes: one or more semiconductor lasers emitting one or more laser beams; an optical fiber; an optical condensing system which makes the one or more laser beams enter the optical fiber from a light-entrance end of the optical fiber; and a package which fixedly contains the optical condensing system and the one or more semiconductor lasers, and fixedly holds the optical fiber in such a manner that the light-entrance end faces the optical condensing system. The one or more semiconductor lasers are directly or indirectly fixed to the package with solder, and the one or more optical components are directly or indirectly fixed to the package with a thin layer of adhesive having a thickness of less than or equal to 1 micrometer, and preferably a thickness within a range of 0.2 micrometers to 1 micrometer after being dried.

    摘要: An inexpensive and highly productive exposure device for directly scanning and exposing a photosensitive material sensitive to at least a UV region, based on digital data. As a motor controller moves an exposure head at a fixed speed in Y direction, image data is read one line of image data, each GLV element of a light modulator array is switched on/off by the read image data, and laser light from a high power light source of the exposure head is switched on/off. A UV-sensitive object to be exposed is exposed in X direction in a number of pixel units that substantially corresponds to the number of the GLV elements. The image data is scanned and exposed by one line in Y direction (main-scan). The motor controller moves a flat stage by one step in X direction (sub-scan). The object to be exposed is imagewise-exposed by repeating such scans.

    摘要: An exposure method that can conduct digital exposure with high precision and with a high light-use efficiency using evanescent light. Light that is modulated by a DMD and condensed by a microlens array is incident at corresponding optical fiber cores arranged in a matrix in an evanescent array head, and is guided through the insides of the optical fibers. Because the light condensed by the microlens array is incident at the optical fiber cores corresponding to the microlenses, the light can be efficiently incident. Evanescent light leaks out from micro-openings formed in emission-side end portions of the optical fibers, and a photosensitive material is exposed by this evanescent light.

The pumping beam source is constituted of a semiconductor laser device, in which a composition selected from the group consisting of InGaN and GaN is employed in an active layer. The surface emission type of semiconductor device comprises a substrate, and an active layer, which is constituted of a composition selected from the group consisting of InGaAlP and InGaP and is provided on the substrate. The surface emission type of semiconductor device is pumped by the pumping beam source to produce a laser beam. The semiconductor laser apparatus produces the laser beam having a wavelength of a red region or an ultraviolet region and undergoes oscillation in a fundamental mode with a high reliability and a high efficiency and up to a high output power.

    摘要: In a laser-diode-pumped laser apparatus, a solid-state laser crystal doped with at least one rare-earth element including at least Pr3+ is pumped with a laser diode, and emits laser light. In the first aspect, the laser diode has an active layer made of one of an InGaN, InGaNAs, and GaNAs materials, and an optical wavelength conversion element converts the solid-state laser light into ultraviolet laser light by wavelength conversion. In the second aspect, the solid-state laser crystal is codoped with Pr3+ and at least one of Er3+, Ho3+, Dy3+, Eu3+, Sm3+, Pm3+, and Nd3+. In the third aspect, instead of the solid-state laser crystal, an optical fiber codoped with Pr3+ and at least one of Er3+, Ho3+, Dy3+, Eu3+, Sm3+, Pm3+, and Nd3+ is pumped with a GaN-based compound laser diode. In the fourth aspect, an optical fiber codoped with Pr3+ and at least one of Er3+, Ho3+, Dy3+, Eu3+, Sm3, Pm3, and Nd3+ amplifies incident light having a wavelength which is identical with a wavelength of fluorescence generated by pumping of the optical fiber with a GaN-based compound laser diode.
