The drive control section performs a process including: receiving a next writable logical address request instruction at least specifying the track; determining a size of the at least one data to be recorded stored in the memory circuit; determining as a next writable address a physical address indicating a location at which data can be recorded next in the track specified by the next writable logical address request instruction, based on a last recorded address in the track specified by the next writable logical address request instruction and the size of the at least one data to be recorded; translating the next writable address into a next writable logical address; and outputting the next writable logical address.

    摘要: A wireless communication device which permits reduction in the scale of circuitry as well as in the power consumption. The wireless communication device includes an array of antennas, an adaptive array searcher, and a data demodulator. The adaptive array searcher detects the phase difference between the antennas and estimates the direction of arrival of received radio waves. The data demodulator demodulates the radio signal received by the antennas. The adaptive array searcher shares part of circuitry with a calibrator which performs calibration by correcting the phase difference caused between antenna channels in the wireless communication device, and thus has a calibration function incorporated therein.

    摘要: A CDMA receiver is disclosed wherein (1) a despreader despreads a receive signal to thereby demodulate a control-data signal and a transmit-data signal; (2) a channel estimation unit derives a channel estimation value from a pilot signal that is contained in the despread control-data signal; (3) a channel compensation unit performs channel compensation of the transmit-data and control-data signals based upon the channel estimation value; (4) a power calculation unit calculates power of the transmit-data signal and power of the control-data signal after the channel compensation thereof and calculates a power ratio representing the ratio of the calculated power of the transmit-data signal to the calculated power of the control-data signal; (5) a signal-level changing unit raises, on the basis of the power ratio, the level of whichever of the signals has the lower power; and (6) a decoder executes decoding processing based upon the signal the level of which has been changed by the signal-level changing unit.

    摘要: Buffers are arranged in a concentrated manner in a region distant from pads. The region refers to a region in a main region of a semiconductor integrated circuit, except for a central processing unit, a non-volatile memory and a volatile memory. As the buffer requiring a large area is not provided around the pad, a pitch between the pads or a pitch between the pad and an internal circuit (such as the central processing unit) can be made smaller and hence a chip size can be reduced. Therefore, a semiconductor integrated circuit capable of achieving a reduced chip size can be provided.

    摘要: The data processor of the present invention can play back video and audio synchronously from an optical disk, on which video and audio data are stored in different areas. Each area consists of one or more unit areas. The data processor includes: a playback control section for giving instructions on how to read the video and audio data and how to play back the video and audio based on the read data; a head for reading the data from one of the unit areas after another in accordance with the instructions; and audio and video buffers for retaining the audio and video data read. The playback control section instructs that the audio data be read from a predetermined one of the unit areas to the audio buffer memory, and then instructs that the video data, which is to be played back over first and second periods of time, be read from a number n (where n is an integer equal to or greater than two) of unit areas to the video buffer. The first period of time is (n+2) times as long as the maximum amount of time to move the head, and the second period of time is taken to read the audio data from the next unit area.
