Abstract: Methods and systems for citizens broadband radio service (CBRS) device (CBSD) interference management is described. A method for managing shared spectrum network interference includes determining, by a Citizens Broadband Radio Service (CBRS) device (CBSD) granted shared spectrum by a spectrum access system (SAS), a number of mobile devices in a defined number of regions in a cell covered by the CBSD, assigning, by the CBSD, a greater number of antennas to a cell edge region from the defined number of regions than a remaining regions in the defined number of regions, and assigning, by the CBSD, at least 8 antennas to each mobile device of a defined number of mobile devices of the number of mobile devices in the cell edge region to transmit non-overlapping and directive beams to mitigate interference at the cell edge region.

Abstract: A device management resource detects an anomaly event associated with a first communication device based on analysis of first feedback from multiple network entities supporting conveyance of communications associated with the first communication device. The device management resource selects an operational state of the first communication device based on the detected anomaly event. The device management resource then notifies each of the network entities of the selected operational state of the first communication device. Each of the network entities collects and forwards different feedback data associated with the first communication device depending on the selected operational state of the first communication device.

Abstract: According to one configuration, multiple users in a tiered hierarchy share use of a wireless spectrum. For example, a spectrum access system receives a notification indicating that a first-priority tier 1 user in the hierarchy temporarily needs access to a first wireless spectrum assigned to a second-priority tier 2 user in the hierarchy. In response to the notification, the spectrum access system temporarily allocates the second-priority tier 2 user use of a second wireless spectrum. The spectrum access system protects use of the second wireless spectrum by the second-priority tier 2 user from a third-priority tier 3 user in the hierarchy. In certain instances, the one or more spectrum access systems receive the same notification of use of the first wireless spectrum by the first-priority tier 1 user. The multiple spectrum access systems not serving the second-priority tier 2 user protect the Tier 2 User from any Tier 3 Users in the hierarchy.

Abstract: A connection management resource tracks multiple instances of a mobile communication device wirelessly connecting to each of multiple wireless access points at different times to access a remote network. Based on the tracking, the connection management resource determines a set of the multiple wireless access points that reside in a first geographical region. The connection management resource then assigns a selected wireless access point such as a first wireless access point from the set as being a default wireless access point in which to provide the mobile communication device wireless connectivity to the remote network. In one situation, the connection management resource assigns the first wireless access point as the default wireless access point in response to detecting that the mobile communication device most frequently, amongst the multiple instances, establishes wireless connectivity with the first wireless access point to access the remote network.

Abstract: Establishing an encrypted communications channel without prior knowledge of an encryption key is disclosed. A gateway router device receives, from a server device via an intermediate modem device, a first secret key code for use in establishing an encrypted communications channel between the gateway router device and the modem device. The gateway router device makes an attempt to establish the encrypted communications channel with the modem device using a pre-shared key that is based on the first secret key code. The gateway router device determines that the attempt to establish the encrypted communications channel has either succeeded or failed. The gateway router device, in response to determining that the attempt to establish the encrypted communications channel has either succeeded or failed, performs a success action or performs a failure action.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus related to radio configuration of a wireless device, such as for use in a quasi-licensed wireless system. In one embodiment, a computerized apparatus is provided, which comprises at least one computer program configured to: (i) detect at least one connectable wireless network; (ii) obtain data relating to one or more associated network conditions; and (iii) change radio configuration of the wireless device based on the obtained data e.g., to enable the wireless device to connect to an optimal base station. In one variant, the data relating to the one or more network conditions is obtained via one or more configurable logic blocks (CLBs) of the wireless device. In one implementation, a CLB can be configured to e.g., generate network data traffic to detect the network conditions. Furthermore, the CLBs can be configured to activate or de-activate individual ones of an array of radios with sectorized antenna of the wireless device.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus for supporting communication, discovery, and use of time division duplex (TDD) configuration information between nearby cells are described. A first base station requests a UE to collect and report back TDD configuration information about another base station, e.g., a neighboring base station, from which the UE receives signals, e.g., broadcast signals above a predetermined signal strength threshold. In some embodiments, the requests are qualified based on one of more of: i) inter or intra operator network, ii) radio access technology (RAT) in use, or iii) frequency band. The first base station utilizes reports, communicating TDD configuration information pertaining to nearby base stations, obtained from one or more UEs, to manage interference, e.g., changing the first base station's current TDD configuration settings, generating a new first base station TDD configuration, and/or deciding whether or not to use a frequency band of shared and/or unlicensed spectrum or licensed spectrum.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus for automatically securing communications between a point of interception (POI) device and a mediation device (MD), e.g., a lawful interception MD, are described. Based on a desired intercept request to be implemented, a Lawful Interception (LI) administration (admin) device (LID) identifies at least a first mediation device (MD) and point of intercept (POI) device which will be involved in implementing the intercept request. The LI administrator then automatically proceeds to enable the use of a private certificate authority to automatically generate and provision the MD and POI with certificates and private keys, e.g. the MD and POI are each provisioned with a private/public key pair that is then used to support mutual TLS for intercept related communications between the POI and MD. A mutual TLS connection between the MD and POI is automatically established and the used for intercept related communications between the devices.

Abstract: Apparatus and methods for unified high-bandwidth, low-latency data services provided with enhanced user mobility. In one embodiment, a network architecture having service delivery over at least portions of extant infrastructure (e.g., a hybrid fiber coax infrastructure) is disclosed, which includes standards-compliant ultra-low latency and high data rate services (e.g., 5G NR services) via a common service provider. In one variant, an expanded frequency band (e.g., 1.6 GHz in total bandwidth) is used over the coaxial portions of the HFC infrastructure, which is allocated to two or more sub-bands. Wideband amplifier apparatus are used to support delivery of the sub-bands to extant HFC network nodes (e.g., hubs or distribution points) within the network. Premises devices are used to provide the 5G-based services to users at a given premises and thereabouts. In another variant, local area (e.g., “pole mounted”) radio devices are used to provide supplemental RF coverage, including during mobility scenarios.

Abstract: According to one configuration, a communication management resource such as a SIM provisioning platform receives input from a mobile communication device to activate use of the mobile communication device in a private wireless network. The communication management resource authenticates use of the mobile communication device in the private wireless network. Subsequent to authentication, the communication management resource populates an access file such as private SIM (Subscriber Identity Module) information for use by the mobile communication device to access the private wireless network. The access file is populated with information such as a unique cell identifier value, encryption information, identification of supported services, etc. The communication management resource communicates the newly generated access file (such as SIM information) to the mobile communication device, enabling the mobile communication device use of the private wireless network.
