    摘要: A panel type speaker according to the present invention includes an exciter having bimorph type beams which are made of a piezoelectric material and in each of which a flexural oscillation is excited, and a beam holding part for holding the beams, and a diaphragm which is attached to the exciter to generate a flexural oscillation based on oscillation transmitted from the exciter and serves as a transparent protective plate for a display. A bottom surface of the beam holding part of the exciter has an area which is greater than or equal to one-fourth of an area of the largest beam of the beams, and is fixed to a surface of the diaphragm so that the exciter is held on the diaphragm. The panel type speaker has high excitation efficiency and a simple structure, making it easy to add an acoustic characteristic regulating mechanism.

    摘要: A knuckle 1 has a through hole 3 provided in a fitting hole 4 thereof. A cutting tool 9, which has a diameter being larger than that of the through hole 3 and also has a cutting part having a hemispherical leading end portion, is caused to go into the through hole 3 at an angle at which the tool 9 does not touch the remaining part of the knuckle 1. Then, a burr formed at a fitting-hole-side open end portion 7 of the through hole 3 is removed by rotating the cutting tool 9 while the leading end portion thereof is made to obliquely abut against the open end portion 7 of the through hole 3.

    摘要: A piezoelectric panel speaker improved in frequency characteristics has a panel and a piezoelectric exciter for vibrating the panel. The exciter includes a casing and a piezoelectric exciter element accommodated in the casing. The casing has an outer surface with a part positioned proximate to and facing one side surface of the panel. The side surface of the panel has an area opposed to the part of the outer surface of the exciter. A securing layer is partially formed between the area of the panel and the part of the outer surface to secure the exciter to the panel. The securing layer is made of a material so that vibration is transmittable from the exciter to the panel.

    摘要: An active-matrix liquid crystal display integrally formed with a driver circuit including: a pair of substrates disposed in opposing relation to each other; and a liquid crystal material sandwiched between the pair of substrates, wherein the pair of substrates includes: a TFT substrate including at least an insulative substrate, source interconnection line and gate interconnection line which are formed in a matrix pattern on the insulative substrate, a thin film transistor provided to each pixel portion for use as a switching element for applying a voltage to a portion of the liquid crystal material which lies at a location where the source interconnection line and the gate interconnection line intersect each other, a pixel electrode connected to a drain electrode of the thin film transistor for supplying a voltage to the liquid crystal material, and a CMOS driver circuit having a CMOS which comprises thin film transistors for supplying an electric signal to the thin film transistor of the pixel portion through the source interconnection line and the gate interconnection line; and a counterpart substrate including an insulative substrate and a counter electrode formed thereon, the thin film transistor provided to the pixel portion being of a first conductivity type and of an offset or LDD structure, at least a first conductivity type thin film transistor of the thin film transistors of the CMOS driver circuit being of an offset or LDD structure.
