Abstract:
The invention relates to a filter element (10) having a first fluid path (12) for filtering a first fluid and a second fluid path (14) having a fluid line (16) for carrying a second fluid, wherein a non-return valve (18) is arranged in the second fluid path (14), said non-return valve (18) closing the second fluid path (14) if a flow of the first liquid through the filter element (10) is interrupted. The invention further relates to a filter system (100) including such a filter element (10).
Abstract:
A liquid filter arrangement is provided, as well as methods of assembly and use. Advantageous features, relating to a preferred filter cartridge and a preferred slide arrangement, are provided.
Abstract:
A filter device includes a filter element (9) received in a housing (1). The housing can be closed by a cover part (3) having fluid ducts (35, 41). A connecting unit is provided to create a fluid-conducting connection between the filter element (9) and an associated fluid duct (35) of the cover part (3). The connecting unit is in the form of a coupling having a movable coupling part (33) creating the fluid connection in the functional state.
Abstract:
A replaceable oil filter sub-assembly for use with an oil filter housing having an oil drain passageway extending outwardly from an interior volume of the oil filter housing, the oil filter sub-assembly including a filter element having a filter medium defining an upstream side and a downstream side of the filter element and an oil drain passageway sealing rod assembly having a first end configured for oil sealing engagement with the oil drain passageway of the oil filter housing, the oil drain passageway sealing rod assembly being separate from the filter element and extending through the interior volume of the filter housing at the upstream side of the filter element.
Abstract:
A filter device having a filter housing having at least two housing parts (1 and 11), which can be separated from one another in order to receive at least one filter element (21), and which can be connected to one another by means of a coupling device (7), is characterized in that the respective filter element (21), or an adapter that can be connected thereto, forms a functionally essential component of the coupling device (7) such that it is only when the filter element (21) has been placed in its functional position within at least one of the housing parts (1, 11) that the respective other housing part (1, 11) can be connected to this first housing part while forming the filter housing of a functional filter device.
Abstract:
Embodiments in accordance with the present disclosure may provide a camshaft having a central oil passage and a radial passage to supply oil from the central passage to a bearing surface. The camshaft may include a filter disposed within the central passage which may allow oil to pass through the radial passage to the bearing surface, and which may prevent particles larger than a predetermined size to pass to the bearing surface.
Abstract:
A fluid filtering apparatus and method may include keyed components to ensure that a correct filter element is being installed into a filter base. Keyed arrangements may occur between a filter element and a filter housing, a filter and a filter base, and a filter base and a filter housing. A locking arrangement may be provided to prevent undesired loosening of a filter relative to a filter base. The filter base may include a torsion lock insert that engages lock detents of a filter to prevent the undesired loosening. An adaptor may be provided to provide the lock detents that interact with a torsion lock insert.
Abstract:
A filter element for filtering a liquid medium has end plates and a filter material arranged between the end plates and flowed through by the liquid medium in a flow direction radial to a longitudinal axis of the filter element. A clean chamber is arranged in the flow direction downstream of the filter material and connected with an outlet of the filter element. A bypass duct for the liquid medium is provided that is fluidically connected by a bypass valve with the clean chamber. The bypass duct has an inlet in the first end plate. A support device is integrally formed on the first end plate and extends along the longitudinal axis away from the first end plate into the filter element interior. A sieve in the bypass duct separates solid materials from the liquid medium passing through the bypass duct. The sieve is attached to the support device.
Abstract:
Provided is a cartridge assembly having first and second cartridges sealed by an interface member having a first sealing member along a radially outer surface thereof having a non-planar geometry around the outer surface and a second sealing member along the radially outer surface having a non-planar geometry around the outer surface. The sealing members may each have a repeating, undulating, non-planar geometry around the outer surface. The cartridges have ends with matching geometries to allow the cartridges to engage in surface-to-surface relation around their entire extents to create with the interface member an air tight seal.
Abstract:
A device (8) for a fuel filter system (10, 14) separates water from the fuel. The water takes on a property enhancing the separation by the device (8) by the action of a medium (42).
