摘要: A laser ablation system includes a sample chamber 102 configured to accommodate a target 104 within an interior 106 thereof, a sample generator 108 configured to remove a portion of the target 104 (which may be subsequently captured as a sample) and an analysis system 110 configured to analyze a composition of the sample. A sample capture cell in the chamber proximate to the target has a capture cavity configured to receive target material, a first inlet configured to transmit a flow of a carrier gas from a first location adjacent to an exterior of the capture cell into a region of the capture cavity; and an outlet configured to receive carrier gas from another region of the capture cavity. The sample chamber 102 includes an injection nozzle 120 configured to introduce, into the interior 106, a fluid such as a carrier gas.

摘要: A communication system includes a first radio module and a second radio module. The first radio module includes a tuner communicatively coupled to a reference signal generator that is configured to generate a first reference signal for the tuner. The first radio module further includes a serializer configured to serialize a signal output by the tuner. The second radio module includes a deserializer configured to receive a serialized version of the signal from the serializer of the first radio module and deserialize the serialized version of the signal. The second radio module further includes a second tuner that is communicatively coupled to a clock recovery circuit. The clock recovery circuit is configured to generate a second reference signal for the second tuner based on a deserialized version of the first signal, where the second reference signal is frequency and phase locked to the first reference signal.

摘要: Systems and methods are described for monitoring, treating, and preventing a pain state of an individual. In an aspect, a system includes, but is not limited to, a deformable substrate; a sensor assembly coupled to the deformable substrate, the sensor assembly including a motion sensor and a physiological sensor, the sensor assembly configured to generate one or more sense signals based on detection of a movement of the body portion by the motion sensor and a physiological parameter of the body portion by the physiological sensor; a processor including circuitry configured to identify a physiological state of the individual subject based on at least one of the movement of the body portion or the physiological parameter; and an effector operably coupled to the processor and configured to affect the body portion responsive to control by the processor.

摘要: A configurable transceiver includes a first transmitter, an edge rate controller, a second transmitter, a subtractor, a bandwidth controller and a main controller. The first transmitter is configured to generate a first signal for transmission via a transmission link. The second transmitter is configured to generate a replica signal associated with the first signal. The edge rate controller is communicatively coupled to the first and/or second transmitter and is configured to control an edge rate parameter of the first and/or second signal. The subtractor is configured to subtract the replica signal from a signal received via the transmission link. The bandwidth controller is configured to control a bandwidth parameter of a difference signal received from the output of the subtractor. The main controller chooses edge rate and bandwidth control words per desired link rates. It can also automatically find the maximum possible link speed.

摘要: A gesture detection device that includes an angled optical lens is disclosed. In one or more implementations, the gesture detection device includes a gesture sensor configured to detect electromagnetic radiation occurring within a limited spectrum of wavelengths and provides one or more signals in response thereto. The gesture detection device also includes an illumination source assembly configured to emit the electromagnetic radiation occurring within the limited spectrum of wavelengths. The illumination source assembly includes an illumination source for emitting the electromagnetic radiation occurring within the limited spectrum of wavelengths and a light collimating structure configured to at least partially collimate the electromagnetic radiation occurring within the limited spectrum of wavelengths. The light collimating structure is oriented at an angle with respect to an axis perpendicular to a surface of the gesture detection device.
