摘要: In a method for operating an internal combustion engine that has a starter device for starting the internal combustion engine and a device for supplying fuel controlled by a control device, it is determined whether cold start conditions or hot start conditions exist during starting of the internal combustion engine. In at least one operating range, during starting of the internal combustion engine, an engine speed gradient is determined during a slowdown phase of a pull stroke of a starter device and the engine speed gradient is used for determining whether cold start conditions or hot start conditions exist. The fuel quantity to be supplied to the internal combustion engine is controlled based on the determined cold start conditions or hot start conditions.

摘要: A portable spraying device has an internal combustion engine and a blower driven by the internal combustion engine. A blower tube is connected to the blower and conveys a blowing air stream generated in the blower. A spraying agent reservoir is provided and a spraying agent line is connect to the reservoir and conveys a spraying agent stream from the reservoir into the blowing air stream. A control valve is arranged in the spraying agent line. A throttle control acts on the internal combustion engine for controlling an engine output. A stop switch acts on the internal combustion engine for interrupting ignition. An actuating element acts on the control valve for actuating the control valve to control the spraying agent stream. A handle with a handle head is provided and the throttle control, the stop switch, and the actuating element are arranged in the handle head.

摘要: An internal combustion engine has a combustion chamber having a spark plug arranged thereat. A crankcase supports a crankshaft. An intake for introducing fuel and combustion air into the combustion chamber is provided. An exhaust for exhausting combustion gases from the combustion chamber is provided. A piston is connected to the crankshaft and drives the crankshaft in rotation. A wheel member is connected to the crankshaft and rotates with the crankshaft. An alternator driven by the crankshaft supplies electric power to a consumer. The alternator is arranged within a radial boundary of the wheel member and external to the crankcase. The alternator has a stator and a rotor, wherein the crankshaft penetrates the stator and wherein the rotor is fixedly connected to the wheel member.

摘要: A two-stroke engine (1) has a cylinder (2) defining a combustion chamber (3) delimited by a piston (5). The piston (5) drives a crankshaft (7) which is rotatably journalled in a crankcase (4). The crankcase (4) is connected to the combustion chamber (3) via a transfer channel (17) at at least one position of the piston. The two-stroke engine has an inlet (11) into the crankcase (4) and an outlet (19) from the combustion chamber. There is an arrangement to supply fuel, a control, and a device to determine the crankcase pressure (pKGH). A method to operate the two-stroke engine (1) includes determining the crankcase pressure (pKGH) during every engine cycle. The fluctuation in the crankcase pressure (pKGH) is determined and the fluctuation is compared to a limit value (Δplimit) to determine whether a combustion occurs during every engine cycle. In this way, a determination can be reliably made as to whether the two-stroke engine is running in a four-stroke mode.

摘要: A method for operating an internal combustion engine having a fuel system which feeds fuel at a given pressure to a metering valve provides that a controller defines the opening time and the closing time of the metering valve and correspondingly actuates the metering valve so that the metering valve opens and closes at the defined times. In order to permit precise metering of fuel even in high-speed internal combustion engines there is provision for the controller to define at least one of the times for the opening or closing of the metering valve while taking into account the counterpressure actually prevailing at the outlet opening of the metering valve.

摘要: A portable blower having a motor unit that includes a drive motor disposed in an engine housing. The blower has a blower unit that is provided with a blower housing that is separate from the engine housing. The blower unit includes an axial fan that is driven by the drive motor via a drive shaft. During operation the axial fan conveys operating air in the direction of the axis of rotation of the axial fan through a blower tube disposed downstream of the axial fan. An ergonomic operation and a good operating result can be achieved if the motor unit includes a guide tube on which is secured at least one handle. The engine housing is disposed at one end of the guide tube and the blower unit is disposed at the other end of the guide tube. The drive shaft extends through the guide tube. The length of the guide tube between the engine housing and the blower unit corresponds to at least half of the length of the blower tube.

The engine also includes devices for metering fuel and combustion air as well as an ignition device for igniting the mixture in the combustion chamber (5). A method for operating the internal combustion engine provides that fuel and combustion air are supplied to the engine and the mixture is ignited in the combustion chamber (5). The combustion chamber (5) is delimited by a piston (7) which drives a crankshaft (25) rotatably journalled in a crankcase (3). A control is provided which controls the supply of fuel and the ignition of the mixture in the combustion chamber (5). The internal combustion engine is so controlled in at least one operating state that the number of combustions is less than the number of engine cycles in the same time span. To avoid the formation of self ignitions, the operating state is a high rpm range wherein the rpm lies above the rated rpm and below the rpm in a regulating range.
