Abstract:
A method is provided for efficiently allocating a transmission period in a wireless network system. An access point (AP) transmits a PSMP frame indicating a downlink period provided to each station (STA) and a minimum amount of an uplink period allocated to each STA, and at least one sub PSMP frame indicating an uplink period additionally provided for an STA that transmitted a resource request message for remaining queued data in the uplink period indicated by the PSMP frame. If the uplink period indicated by the PSMP frame is insufficient to transmit the queued data, the STA transmits a data unit including a part of the queued data and a resource request message for the remaining queued data in the uplink period. After transmitting the resource request message, the STA receives the sub PSMP frame after the full period indicated by the sub PSMP frame, and transmits the remaining queued data to the AP in the uplink period indicted by the sub PSMP frame.

Abstract:
An organic aluminum precursor includes aluminum as a central metal, and borohydride and trimethylamine as ligands. In a method of forming an aluminum layer or wire, the organic aluminum presursor is introduced onto a substrate, and then thermally decomposed. The aluminum decomposed from the organic aluminum precursor is deposited on the substrate.
Abstract:
There are provided a memory transistor having a select transistor with asymmetric gate electrode structure and an inverted T-shaped floating gates and a method for forming the same. A gate electrode of the select transistor adjacent to a memory transistor has substantially an inverted T-shaped figure, whereas the gate electrode of the select transistor opposite to the memory transistor has nearly a box-shaped figure. In order to form the floating gate of the memory transistor in shape of the inverted T, a region for the select transistor is closed when opening a region for the memory transistor.
Abstract:
A buffering apparatus and method for packet aggregation are provided. A buffer buffers packet data to be transmitted on a frame basis. An aggregator represents the positions of the buffered packet data in an Access Category (AC) bitmap and a Traffic Identifier (TID) bitmap according to an AC and a TID of the buffered packet data, and provides a bitmap indicating the positions of packet data to be aggregated according to an aggregation condition to an aggregation controller. The aggregation controller aggregates the packet data based on the bitmap received from the aggregator, constructs an aggregation Physical Service Data Unit (PSDU) with the aggregated packet data, and transmits the aggregation PSDU to a destination.
Abstract:
A pad conditioner may include a surface having a first region including a portion having relatively irregular shaped and friable polishing particles, and a second region including a portion having relatively regular shaped and tough polishing particles. The relatively regular shaped and tough polishing particles may be provided on the edge portion of the surface and the relatively irregular shaped and friable polishing particles may be provided on the center portion of the surface.
Abstract:
The invention operates two control paths. The micro-actuator control stimulates the micro-actuator. The voice coil motor control path includes the voice coil motor control generating a voice coil control signal, notch filtered to remove at least one significant excitation resonance for a notch filtered voice coil control signal. Amplifying the notch filtered voice coil control signal by a tuning gain stimulates the voice coil motor.A decoupling feedback filter uses the micro-actuator control signal to create a decoupling feedback signal used to decouple the two control paths. A track following command, with PES removed, directs the micro-actuator control. The voice coil motor control is directed by the track following command, with both PES and decoupling feedback signal removed.Preferably, the servo-controller digitally supports the elements of the invention. Implementing the method may preferably include the servo-controller program system residing in an accessibly coupled memory. The invention includes optimizing an implementation within the hard disk drive. The optimization may be part of the manufacturing process for the hard disk drive. The invention includes the hard disk drive as the product of that manufacturing process.

A method of preparing polishing particles by baking unmilled cerium compound in an environment having a temperature in a range between about 400-700° C., and without dropping the temperature in the environment, applying thermal stress to the resultant cerium oxide in-situ by heating the environment to a temperature in a range between about 700-800° C. to obtain cerium oxide particles.
Abstract:
A method of manufacturing a semiconductor device includes forming conductive structures on a substrate. Each of the conductive structures has a line shape that extends along a first direction parallel to the substrate. Insulating spacers are formed on upper sidewalls of the conductive structures. An insulating interlayer is formed that covers the conductive structures. A portion of the insulating interlayer between the conductive structures is etched to form a contact hole. An upper portion of the contact hole is larger than a lower portion thereof. The upper portion of the contact hole has a first width along the first direction and a second width along a second direction parallel to the substrate and substantially perpendicular to the first direction. The first width is substantially larger than the second width. The contact hole is filled with a conductive material to form a contact plug.
Abstract:
A receiving apparatus and method for receiving signals through a plurality of receive antennas in a mobile communication system. In the receiving apparatus, a plurality of FFTs transform frequency-domain symbol sequences received from the receive antennas to time-domain FFT symbol sequences, an SIC receiver decides the value of a higher-priority transmitted symbol sequence using its FFT symbol sequence and decides the value of a lower-priority transmitted symbol sequence using the decided higher-priority transmitted symbol sequence and its error, a plurality of demodulators demodulate the decided transmitted symbol sequences to a plurality of coded bit streams, a plurality of deinterleavers deinterleave the coded bit streams, stream by stream, and a parallel-to-serial converter converts the deinterleaved coded bit streams to one coded bit stream.
