Abstract: A condiment dispensing apparatus for dispensing condiments from a bag-in-box type container (108). There is a high durometer compressible elastomeric liquid flow tube (14), an infeed and outfeed thereto and therefrom, and a movable anvil (26) with a round surface to compress the tube. There is an opposed stationary anvil (28) which holds the tube for compression by the movable anvil. The tube is held between the anvils (26, 28) in a slightly compressed state even when the anvil is retracted. There is a control assembly (FIG. 15) that causes extension and retraction of the movable anvil to cause flow through the tube, and subsequent delivery of condiment to a dispensing fixture (110).

Abstract: A linear compressor is provided which may be employed in refrigerators or air conditioners. The linear compressor includes a compressor mechanism disposed within a hermetic casing. The compressor mechanism includes a linear motor which makes a piston reciprocate within a cylinder and a piston oscillation controller. The piston oscillation controller controls oscillations of the piston so as to bring an actual top dead center position of the piston into agreement with a reference top dead center position and alters the reference top dead center position based on a given parameter such as an ambient temperature or a required thermal load of, for example, a refrigerator. An improved structure of the linear motor is also provided.

Abstract: A fluid powered diaphragm pump with an adjustable stroke is provided. The stroke of the pump is adjusted by providing an inner diaphragm plate assembly that includes a retractable piston. The piston is biased towards the inner plate by one or more standoffs that attach the piston to the plate. The bias of the piston is overcome by pressurized fluid that is communicated to a chamber defined by the piston and the inner plate. The fluid may be communicated to the chamber through the diaphragm rod. The inner diaphragm plate assemblies of both diaphragm chambers may be connected to different pressurized fluid supplies there enabling the stroke or capacity of the two diaphragm chambers to be controlled independently. As a result, the stroke or capacity of the two diaphragm chambers may differ.

Abstract: A hydraulic oil well pump drive system for driving an oil well sucker rod includes a master piston positioned within a master cylinder for axial displacement between first and second ends of the master cylinder. The master piston has a piston drive rod which extends through one end of the master cylinder. The drive rod is connected to a crank pin of an eccentric crank. A center seal assembly divides the master cylinder into a working chamber and a pressure chamber in opposite ends of the master cylinder. Each respective chamber defines a fluid volume which varies with the displacement of the master piston. The master piston displacement creates a bi-directional flow of working fluid from the working chamber. A wellhead hydraulic assembly is operably connected to the oil well sucker rod and is in fluid communication with the master cylinder working chamber to receive the working fluid flow. The wellhead hydraulic assembly is responsive to the working fluid flow to reciprocate an oil well sucker rod at a rate which relates to the rate of master piston displacement. A gas accumulator is in fluid communication with the master cylinder pressure chamber to bias the master piston toward the master cylinder working end, providing an upward biasing force at the wellhead hydraulic assembly.
