    摘要: A multi-channel analog system comprises a plurality of channels each being adapted to receive analog signals from a signal source such as a seismic sensor. A multiplexer multiplexes the analog channels prior to converting the channels' signals into digital numbers. Each channel has a DC blocking capacitor connected to one terminal of a normally-open multiplexer switch; the other terminal of the switch is coupled to a multiplexer bus. In accordance with this invention, the bus is connected to a common resistor. Control means consecutively close the multiplexer switches so that the capacitor whose switch has been closed forms a high-pass filter with the common resistor. The resistor is preferably connected as the input resistor to an operational amplifier. The capacitors, the multiplexer, and the common resistor form a multiplexer-commutated high-pass filter which is particularly adapted for multi-channel seismic systems.

    摘要: A low-power, transient-free, multi-channelled bio-telemetry system utilizes series of C/MOS switches coupled to the data sampling electrodes. Shift register pulses selectively enable the switches to sequentially shift the data sample inputs through nine, switch-controlled channels. The switches have little battery drain and, due to their N and P complimentary arrangement, their gating pulses are effectively cancelled and removed from the system channels. Multiplexing precedes amplification by applying switch outputs to a single, low-power amplifier. A special pulse position modulator employing a ramp generator circuit provides the pulse trains to a keyed transmitter. Other significant improvements including a unique shift register arrangement with a synchronizing interval permit long periods of continuous operation undisturbed by the need for battery changes. The transmitted data is received by a suitable demodulating receiver to produce a recordable output for evaluation and computer analysis.

The selected pair of sensing lines is routed to an analog-to-digital converter, the output of which is sent to a computing device for processing the data received on the pair of sensing lines.

    摘要: Amplitude samples of voice signals to be transmitted by pulse-code modulation are compared with a quasi-exponential reference voltage generated during each sampling interval while a binary counter receives a train of isochronous clock pulses, the reading of the counter at the instant of a match being stored in a memory for subsequent insertion into a message frame. Positive and negative signals are distinguished by a sign bit preceding the amplitude code; in one embodiment the reference voltage is sequentially generated with opposite polarities in successive halves of a sampling interval, the counter having an additional stage to generate the sign bit. Decoding at the receiving end is achieved with the aid of another binary counter whose output is compared with the amplitude code and, in the event of a match, causes the instantaneous value of a similar reference voltage to be sampled and stored for subsequent integration.

    摘要: A time-share transmitter for providing parallel-to-serial conversion of information includes a triggered pulse generator for developing the output information and time-share receiver synchronizing pulses in time separated form. A flip-flop triggered by a first one-shot multivibrator generates timing pulses for triggering the pulse generator as well as initiating operation of a multistage parallel-to-serial converter which converts the information to serial form. The serial output of the converter is connected to an AND logic circuit having a second input from the flip-flop, and the output of the AND circuit supplies the information pulses to the triggered pulse generator.
