Abstract: A bruxnostic device includes a plastic channel configured to be received over a plurality of teeth of an individual. The bruxnostic device further comprises a layer of pressure-indicating material enclosed within the plastic channel in a position to be disposed between maxillary teeth and mandibular teeth of the individual when the plastic channel is received over the plurality of teeth. The pressure-indicating layer produces a color indication in response to pressure between the maxillary teeth and the mandibular teeth.

In some embodiments, these compositions activate the STING and/or the interferon receptor pathways. In some embodiments, the diblock copolymer hits a pKa from about 6 to about 7.5. Also provided herein are methods of treatment using these compositions to treat an infectious disease or cancer.

Abstract: Systems and methods for detection, grading, scoring and tele-screening of cancerous lesions are described. A complete scheme for automated quantitative analysis and assessment of human and animal tissue images of several types of cancers is presented. Various aspects of the invention are directed to the detection, grading, prediction and staging of prostate cancer on serial sections/slides of prostate core images, or biopsy images. Accordingly, the invention includes a variety of sub-systems, which could be used separately or in conjunction to automatically grade cancerous regions. Each system utilizes a different approach with a different feature set. For instance, in the quantitative analysis, textural-based and morphology-based features may be extracted at image- and (or) object-levels from regions of interest.

Abstract: A feeding apparatus includes a nipple shield, a deformable nipple defining a chamber, an inlet through which fluid can flow into the chamber, and an outlet through which fluid can exit the nipple, a first portion of the nipple having a first stiffness and a second portion of the nipple having a second stiffness that is lower than the first stiffness, the first portion disposed on a first side of a longitudinal plane bisecting the nipple and the second portion disposed on a second side of the plane, and a check valve disposed in the nipple to divide the chamber into a first portion between the check valve and the outlet, and a second portion between the check valve and the inlet, wherein the check valve is configured to admit fluid into the first portion but prevent fluid from leaving the first portion through the check valve.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to the identification of PDK inhibitors and their use in the treatment of diseases such as diabetes, cardiovascular disease and cancer. The invention relates to the development of robust PDK inhibitors that can be used to improve glucose metabolism and correct metabolic dysfunction in vivo. Based on the unique structural features present in the ATP-binding pocket of PDK2, a single functional-group change was made in a known Hsp90 inhibitor that binds to the corresponding pocket of the latter protein from the GHKL family. This approach efficiently converted the Hsp90 inhibitor to a highly specific inhibitor for all PDK isoforms. These final PDK inhibitors of this series robustly augments PDC activity with reduced phosphorylation in tissues.
