The determined topology and a random topology of a reproduction surface are brought closer to one another via a series of proximity comparisons until all items of height information of the reproduction surface are successively replaced by items of height information from the original surface, and that once an established similarity between the topologies of the reproduction surface and the original surface is obtained, the items of height information of the reproduction surface are provided for controlling the machine tool serving to machine the surface of the object.

The invention relates to a pressure and vacuum deformable, grained bonding foil for linings of motor vehicle interiors with at least one support layer, a single or multi-layer bed of polyurethane, and also, if applicable, an adhesion facilitator layer, arranged in between, a primary layer and also additional conventional layers, whereby the layer of polyurethane has a Shore D Hardness of less than 50, specifically less than approximately 48. Subject of the invention is also a method for the manufacture of the bonding foil as well as its utilization for lining the interiors of motor vehicles. Said bonding foil demonstrates excellent manipulation properties and presents outstanding physical/mechanical properties, such as excellent breaking elongation, grain stability, scratch resistance, high resistance to wear and tear, high UV-resistance, excellent solvent resistance as well as very high thermal aging resistance.

Described is a weather-resistant, plasticizer-free, deep-drawable film based on a semicrystalline ethylene/propylene/diene terpolymer and a homo- and/or copolymer of an alkene plus stabilizers and optional fillers, lubricants, pigments, and other ordinary additives. This film is characterized by the fact that the mixture of the semicrystalline ethylene/propylene/diene terpolymer and the homo- and/or copolymer of the alkene contains:70-30 wt % semicrystalline ethylene/propylene/diene terpolymer (A) with approximately 56-76 wt % ethylene, approximately 15-30 wt % propylene, and approximately 9-14 wt % third component,while the terpolymer (A) has a melt-flow index MFI (230/2, 16) of approximately 5-15.0 g/10 min,and 70-30 wt % homo- and/or copolymer (B) of ethylene and/or propylene,while the homo- and/or copolymer has a melt-flow index MFI (230/2, 16) greater than 2.5 g/10 min. This film is especially suited for the interior covering and fittings of motor vehicles. It evidences good processibility while retaining the essential physical characteristics.
