Abstract:
A direct-drive wind turbine comprises a wind turbine rotor and a generator mounted on a frame. The wind turbine rotor comprises a hub carrying blades and the generator comprises a generator stator comprising a track structure and a stator surface connected to the track structure, wherein the stator surface has coil windings, and carriages connected one after the other and adapted to run on the track structure, wherein the carriages carry an electrically magnetically active material facing the stator surface such that when the carriages run along the track structure a magnetic field is generated across an air gap provided between the carriages active materials and the stator coil windings, wherein one or more carriages are directly coupled to the wind turbine rotor by rigid connectors such that rotation of the wind turbine rotor causes displacement of the carriages along the track.
Abstract:
A turbine unit for a hydraulic installation, and more in particular it deals with the hub of the turbine unit. The present invention proposes to provide means for adjusting a gap extent formed between the hub and the inner edge of the blade, this way dramatically increasing the performance of the turbine.
Abstract:
A bolted attachment having opposite threaded sections between which a shank is provided having at least two shank sections with different diameter located at a length from the threaded section of at least three times the difference between a diameter of a threaded section and a minimum diameter of the shank. At least one conical transition is formed between two adjacent shank sections where the ratio of its length to a difference between a diameter at one end of the transition and a diameter at the opposite end of the transition is of at least 0.85.
Abstract:
A permanent magnet rotor comprises a rotor body configured for rotating around a central rotational axis and further comprises principal permanent magnets that are substantially rectangular in axial cross-section and are embedded in the rotor body and are arranged inclined with respect to the radial plane extending through the center of the principal magnets and such as to have a circumferential magnetic orientation. The principal magnets have an inner end and an outer end, the outer end being arranged in the proximity of the air gap of the outer circumference of the rotor, and outer bridges of magnetically conductive material being formed between the outer ends of the principal magnets and the outer circumference of the rotor. Auxiliary magnets are arranged near the outer ends of the principal magnets to magnetically saturate the outer bridges.
Abstract:
Embodiments of the present invention are related to a shrouded Kaplan and shrouded propeller-type hydraulic turbine. More in particular, the embodiments relate to a blade for such shrouded turbines. An object of the embodiments of the present invention is to add a winglet on the pressure side of a blade to eliminate a large gap between the blade and the shroud, in order to improve performances, decrease marginal cavitation, and improve fish friendliness.
Abstract:
It includes at least one platform defining a plane, first and second sets of complementary coupling elements associated with the tower section and the platform respectively, and arranged in levels. In a first relative position of the sets of coupling elements, the platform is allowed to pass, in a substantially horizontal position, through different levels of sets of coupling elements and in a second relative position of the sets of coupling elements, the platform rests with its second set of coupling elements on a first set of coupling elements of one given level. A device for moving the platform may be provided for fitting it inside the tower section. The first or the second set of coupling elements in different levels are aligned along a longitudinal direction inside the tower section.
Abstract:
The invention proceeds from a rotating electric machine, in particular a double-fed induction machine in the power range between 20 MVA and 500 MVA, which comprises a rotor that rotates about a machine axis, is concentrically surrounded by a stator, and has a rotor plate body and a shaft, which rotor plate body bears a rotor winding that is arranged further outwards and is connected by means of connectors to slip rings that are arranged further inwards at the end of the shaft. A flexible and secure connection is achieved in that the connectors have mechanical connectors that run at right angles to the shaft to absorb forces arising owing to centrifugal acceleration, which mechanical connectors are connected on one side to a rotor winding head of the rotor winding and are supported on the other side on an auxiliary rim on the rotor plate body.
Abstract:
The present invention generally relates to a runner unit of a tidal power plant, and more particular to a device for reversing a blade of the runner unit. The device according to the invention is lighter and more efficient with respect to known solutions which involve articulated mechanisms as it is based on an auxiliary servomotor including a reciprocating linear rack which acts on the blade to be reversed.
Abstract:
A hoop including a cylinder which, so that the hoop can be mounted around a shaft, is formed by multiple parts that are assembled together using steps that can produce an assembly without deformation of an external surface of the cylinder. A ring, of which an external surface forms the internal surface of a bearing and which, so that it can be secured to the external wall of the cylinder, is formed by multiple elements that are secured to the cylinder by securing devices that can maintain a machining tolerance of the external surface of the ring.
Abstract:
The rotor for an electric machine comprises a shaft, a spider on the shaft, a laminated drum on the spider. The spider has a plurality of apart elements defining ducts between each other. The laminated drum has a plurality of cooling channels connected to the ducts. The rotor also has throttle elements associated to at least one duct and/or cooling channel.
