摘要: There is provided a backlight driving system for a liquid crystal display that can reduce size and weight of a product because a DC-DC converter is not used when commercial AC power is converted into lamp driving power. A backlight driving system for a liquid crystal display according to an aspect of the invention includes a power supply unit converting commercial alternating current (AC) power into direct current (DC) power having a voltage level set beforehand, an inverter unit converting the DC power from the power supply unit into AC power at a one-to-one conversion ratio set beforehand, a boosting unit boosting the AC power from the inverter unit into lamp lighting power set beforehand; and a lamp group receiving the lamp lighting power from the boosting unit to emit light.

摘要: Provided is a character input method and apparatus. The character input method includes assigning character groups, each of which includes at least two characters, to at least two key regions generated by dividing a region of the touch screen and displaying the character groups in the corresponding key regions, based on one-to-one correspondence, if a press event occurs in one of the key regions, enlarging and displaying characters included in the key region where the press event occurs, determining whether one of a release event and a drag event occurs in one of the key regions where the characters are displayed enlarged, if it is determined that the drag event occurs, indicating the key region where the drag event occurs according to distance and direction of the drag event, and if the release event occurs in the indicated key region, outputting characters included in the indicated key region on the touch screen. Thus, a user can easily find a desired character and accurately input the character, thereby performing key input more conveniently and quickly.

摘要: A method of manufacturing a printed circuit board is disclosed, in which a cavity is formed for embedding a component, which includes: providing a core board, in which an inner circuit is buried; forming a first via in the core board for interlayer conduction; selectively forming a first photoresist in a position on the core board in correspondence with a position of the cavity; stacking a first build-up layer, on which a first outer circuit is formed, on the core board; and selectively removing the first build-up layer in correspondence with the position of the cavity and removing the first photoresist. Utilizing the method, a board can be manufactured with greater precision, as the thickness tolerance of the cavity may be obtained by controlling the thickness of the photoresist, and the overall thickness of the board can be controlled by controlling the height of the cavity.

摘要: Disclosed herein is RF modulator with a narrow bandpass filter. The RF modulator for modulating video and audio signals into RF signals corresponding to a frequency band of a predetermined channel includes an oscillation unit for generating a predetermined RF signal suitable for the frequency band of the predetermined channel; a mixer for modulating the video and audio signals using the RF signal generated from the oscillation unit; and a narrow bandpass filter for receiving an RF-modulated signal from the mixer, and passing only a signal of the frequency band of the predetermined channel from among the RF-modulated signal. Therefore, the RF modulator can remove or block unnecessary components such as lower side band and harmonic-frequency signals generated after video and audio signals have been RF-modulated, such that it can prevent interference between channels from being generated, resulting in the creation of more excellent video and audio signals.

For this, the apparatus has a data input unit for receiving a signal by a user's key manipulation to supply corresponding data, first and second video recorders/reproducers for loading a tape, a main picture selector for selecting any one of a signal from the IF processor, an externally input signal via an input terminal, and video signals from the video recorders/reproducers to supply a selected signal as a main picture video signal, a sub-picture selector for selecting any one of the signal from the IF processor, the externally input signal, and the video signals from the video recorders/reproducers to supply a selected signal as a sub-picture video signal, an external input selector for selecting the signal from the IF processor or the externally input signal to supply a selected signal as a record video signal of the video recorders/reproducers, a system controller for receiving data from the data input unit to supply corresponding control signals to the main picture, sub-picture and external input selectors and supplying operational mode control signals to control the video recorders/reproducers, a sub-picture controller for receiving to mix the video signals of the main picture and sub-picture selected by the main picture and sub-picture selectors, and a receiver for processing the mixed video signal as of the main picture and sub-picture to display the processed signal.
