Abstract:
A method for manufacturing a high-transmittance optical filter for image display devices, which may include the steps of coating a photocatalytic compound on a transparent substrate to form a photocatalytic film, selectively exposing the photocatalytic film to light and growing a metal crystal thereon by plating to form a metal pattern, and selectively etching and removing the photocatalytic compound remaining on the transparent substrate using a buffered oxide etchant (BOE). According to the method, a high-transmittance, high-resolution and low-resistivity optical filter can be manufactured in a simple manner at low costs.
Abstract:
A helical groove for conducting lubricant is formed in an internal cylindrical surface of a bearing member by pressing a plurality of balls against the surface while effecting relative longitudinal and rotational movement between the bearing member and a ball-carrier which carries the balls. The balls roll along the cylindrical surface and press-form the helical groove therein. To enable the ball carrier to be inserted into the bearing, the balls are held in a retracted state by applying a vacuum to the balls.
Abstract:
A three-dimensional nonvolatile memory device comprises a plurality of cell strings arranged perpendicular to a substrate. The nonvolatile memory device is programmed by identifying a selected word line and a plurality of unselected word lines connected to at least one of the cell stings, and sequentially applying a negative voltage and a pass voltage to the selected and unselected word lines, and then applying a program voltage to the selected word line while continuing to apply the pass voltage to the unselected word lines.
Abstract:
A direct current motor controlling apparatus may include a direct current motor driving unit to apply a driving voltage to a direct current motor and detect a predetermined signal from the direct current motor, and a servo-micom to control the status of the direct current motor using the signal detected by the direct current motor driving unit. Accordingly, the rotational status of the direct current motor is checked to control the direct current motor.
Abstract:
Provided is a read method for a memory system. The read method determines whether a read data error is correctable. The read method applies a plurality of read operations at a set read voltage level to identify erasure candidates, when the error is uncorrectable. The read method performs erasure decoding using an error correction code or an error detection code for the erasure candidates.
Abstract:
A substrate processing apparatus includes a chamber having a reaction space therein, a substrate seating member disposed in the reaction space of the chamber to seat a substrate thereon, an induction heating unit to heat the substrate seating member, and at least one altitude adjusting unit to selectively adjust the altitude of the induction heating unit at the outside of the chamber according to a temperature adjusting region of the substrate seating member. Therefore, it is possible to constantly control a temperature of the substrate seating member by adjusting the distance length between the substrate seating member and the induction heating unit at the outside of the chamber.
Abstract:
An electromagnetic active engine mount apparatus includes a sub-channel through which working fluid flows is formed in the central portion of an electromagnetic drive so as to be able to cool heat generated from the coil of a solenoid section of the electromagnetic drive by repetitive operation of a vibrating member. Thus, the electromagnetic active engine mount apparatus can inhibit the heat generated from the coil to thus prevent thermal damage to various components formed of rubber, and provide improvement of its durability, reduction of its size, and simplification of its structure.
Abstract:
A retractor of a three-point rear seatbelt system is affixed to a rear roof rail without excessively protruding out at the bottom of the rear roof rail. Such an arrangement provides sufficient rear vision of the vehicle and strengthens the rigidity of the rear roof rail where the retractor is fixed in order to withstand heavy loads associated with seat belt systems.
Abstract:
A novel black matrix, a method for preparing the same, and a flat display device and an electromagnetic interference filter to which the black matrix is applied. The black matrix is prepared by exposing a photoactive compound to form a latent pattern of nuclei for crystal growth and treating the latent pattern of nuclei for crystal growth with a metal salt solution to give a metal particle-deposited pattern; forming an electroless Ni-plated layer on the metal particle-deposited pattern; and forming an electroless Cu-plated layer on the electroless Ni-plated layer. Exhibiting improved black tone, which is achieved only by a selective multilayer plating process, without using expensive vacuum sputtering apparatus or a photolithographic process, the black matrix can be applied to various flat display devices. In addition, due to improved electric conductivity, the black matrix can be used in an electromagnetic interference filter, without employing an additional front surface blackening process.
Abstract:
The present invention discloses a method for controlling an optical pick-up which enables the exact reproduction of a screen image at a user's desired location during a video-disk search. The control method stores the time when a search-off command, (i.e., a reproducing command signal) is input and the time when the pick-up is actually stopped, and then moves the pick-up toward the identified time location when the reproducing command signal was input to reproduce the disk. The control method prevents the reproduction of a track image at a location slightly beyond from a desired image caused by the inertia of a pick-up.
