Provided is a touch input detection method that detects a contact or approach of a touch input means (90) such as a finger of a human body, an electric conductor or a touch pen on a touch panel (10) and produces an input signal. The touch input detection method includes the steps of: (a) detecting a first touch input; (b) calculating an area where the first touch input has been detected; (c) detecting a second touch input that occurs at a predetermined time interval after occurrence of the first touch input; (d) calculating an area where the second touch input has been detected; and (e) judging a change in the areas from the first touch input to the second touch input to thus produce a zooming signal. Accordingly, a zooming signal is produced according to a change in an area of a touch input, to thus implement a zoom gesture very simply, to also realize the zoom gesture with only one finger, and to thereby achieve a touch input operation compactly.

Provided is a touch cell structure for a touch panel in which a touch cell is configured into a new pad to gate mode in order to solve a problem of a conventional capacitive-type touch input device. The touch cell structure includes: a conductive pad that forms an electrostatic capacitance with respect to a touch unit when a finger of a human body or the touch unit having an electrical characteristic similar to the finger approaches the conductive pad within a predetermined distance; and a three-terminal type switching device whose gate terminal is connected with the conductive pad and whose output signal is changed in correspondence to a change in electric potential of the gate terminal of the three-terminal type switching device by the electrostatic capacitance between the touch unit and the conductive pad. Since the potential of the gate terminal of the switching device is determined by an electrostatic capacitance formed in the conductive pad, a difference of the output signal output from the switching device becomes large depending on whether a touch input occurs or not.

An induction heating cooker includes a plurality of heating coils to heat a container, an inverter having a plurality of switching elements to be operated such that a high-frequency voltage is selectively supplied to the plurality of heating coils, and a control unit to control the operations of the plurality of switching elements such that the high-frequency voltage is time-divisionally supplied to a heating coil, on which the container is positioned, among the plurality of heating coils. By this configuration, it is possible to reduce the number of inverters and manufacturing costs. In addition, since the thickness of the cooker is reduced, it is possible to reduce the overall size of the cooker.
