摘要: A graphene reinforced polyethylene terephthalate composition is provided for forming graphene-PET containers. The graphene reinforced polyethylene terephthalate composition includes a continuous matrix comprising polyethylene terephthalate and a dispersed reinforcement phase comprising graphene nanoplatelets. The graphene nanoplatelets range in diameter between 5 μm and 10 μm with surface areas ranging from about 15 m2/g to about 150 m2/g. In some embodiments, the graphene reinforced polyethylene terephthalate comprises a concentration of graphene nanoplatelets being substantially 3% weight fraction of the graphene reinforced polyethylene terephthalate. The graphene reinforced polyethylene terephthalate is configured to be injection molded into a graphene-PET preform suitable for forming a container. The graphene-PET preform is configured to be reheated above its glass transition temperature and blown into a mold so as to shape the graphene-PET preform into the container.

摘要: Provided is a degradable microparticle with a grain size in a range of 2 micrometers to 1400 micrometers, and the degradable microparticle comprises poly(glycerol sebacate), poly(glycerol maleate), poly(glycerol succinate-co-maleate), poly(glycerol succinate), poly(glycerol malonate), poly(glycerol glutarate), poly(glycerol adipate), poly(glycerol pimelate), poly(glycerol suberate), poly(glycerol azelate), or any combination thereof. A degradable product produced from the degradable microparticles can obtain the desired degradation effect and can be produced by chemical synthesis to reduce the production cost. With these advantages, the applicability of the degradable microparticles is improved.

摘要: The present invention relates to a polycyclohexylenedimethylene terephthalate (PCT) resin having enhanced crystallization speed and a method for preparing same. A PCT resin, according to an embodiment of the present invention, comprises: a reactant of (A) a dicarboxylic acid compound or a dicarboxylic acid ester compound and (B) a diol compound total of which 90 mol % or more is cyclohexanedimethanol; and 10-1000 ppm of antimony (Sb) atoms on the basis of the total weight of the resin, wherein the differential between the melting point (Tm) and a reduced crystallization temperature (Tmc) is 45° C. or lower. A PCT resin, according to the present invention, has high crystallization speed and thus enables fast production of various molded products. In particular, the PCT resin has high crystallization temperature and high heat resistance and thus enables fast production of a high-quality heat-resistant molded product by means of injection molding.

摘要: An object of the invention is to provide a filament for a material extrusion-type three-dimensional printer, which filament contains an aromatic polyester resin, and which overcomes the shortcomings of a filament for a material extrusion-type three-dimensional printer that is composed of an ABS resin. Provided is a filament for a material extrusion-type three-dimensional printer, the filament including an aromatic polyester resin containing 50 mol % or more of aromatic dicarboxylic acid units, and 3 mol % or more of isophthalic acid units, with respect to the total amount of dicarboxylic acid units. The aromatic polyester resin preferably has a melt flow rate (230° C., 2.16 kgf) of 7 g/10 min or more, and an intrinsic viscosity of 0.80 dL/g or less.

摘要: Thermosetting powdered coating compositions comprising (a) a high Acid Value carboxylic acid functional polyester resin having an Acid Value of at least 100 mg KOH/g and a functionality of at least 4.5, (b) a low Acid Value carboxylic acid functional polyester resin having an Acid Value of 20 to 50 mg KOH/g and a functionality of about 2.5 or less, and (c) a cross-linking agent. The high Acid Value polyester resin is the reaction product of a polycarboxylic acid or its anhydride reacted with a polyester polyol obtained from reacting 0 mol % to 100 mol % of isophthalic acid and/or 0 to 100 mol % terephthalic acid, or a mixture thereof, with a polyol mixture comprising at least one diol and at least one polyol having at least three hydroxyl groups. The thermosetting powdered coating compositions provide coatings with low gloss levels that can be adjusted from a gloss level of less than 1 to 40 or less, when measured at an angle of 60°, by varying the ratios of the high Acid Value and low Acid Value polyester resins in the composition.

摘要: A novel Aromatic Thermosetting Copolyester (ATSP) can be processed into highly effective wear resistant coatings by blending with polytetrafluorethylene (PTFE) and other additives. Surface treatments/coatings are key to improving wear performance and durability in a wide array of applications. The problems associated with use of liquid lubricants, hard/soft coatings are well known but only modest progress has been achieved due to lack of research on new material systems. These coatings were fabricated and tested as highly effective wear resistant coatings by blending ATSP with PTFE and other tribologically beneficial additives. The main advantages of these polymeric-based coatings are their relatively low cost and simple substrate surface conditioning (i.e., no need for expensive surface preparation before coating).

摘要: A multilayer film suitable for sealing containers such as used for food packaging, and methods of making the film, are described. The film is particularly suitable for sealing containers made from polylactic acid (PLA). The multilayer film includes: a) a substrate that includes a polymeric base layer; and b) on the substrate, a heatseal layer containing a PLA homopolymer or copolymer. The heatseal layer further includes dispersed therein an adhesion promoter, or alternatively the substrate further includes the adhesion promoter in a layer on a surface of the polymeric base layer between and adjacent the base layer and the heatseal layer. An antifog agent may also be included in the heatseal layer or on the surface of the heatseal layer opposite the substrate.
