    摘要: Provided is a degradable microparticle with a grain size in a range of 2 micrometers to 1400 micrometers, and the degradable microparticle comprises poly(glycerol sebacate), poly(glycerol maleate), poly(glycerol succinate-co-maleate), poly(glycerol succinate), poly(glycerol malonate), poly(glycerol glutarate), poly(glycerol adipate), poly(glycerol pimelate), poly(glycerol suberate), poly(glycerol azelate), or any combination thereof. A degradable product produced from the degradable microparticles can obtain the desired degradation effect and can be produced by chemical synthesis to reduce the production cost. With these advantages, the applicability of the degradable microparticles is improved.

    摘要: Thermosetting powdered coating compositions comprising (a) a high Acid Value carboxylic acid functional polyester resin having an Acid Value of at least 100 mg KOH/g and a functionality of at least 4.5, (b) a low Acid Value carboxylic acid functional polyester resin having an Acid Value of 20 to 50 mg KOH/g and a functionality of about 2.5 or less, and (c) a cross-linking agent. The high Acid Value polyester resin is the reaction product of a polycarboxylic acid or its anhydride reacted with a polyester polyol obtained from reacting 0 mol % to 100 mol % of isophthalic acid and/or 0 to 100 mol % terephthalic acid, or a mixture thereof, with a polyol mixture comprising at least one diol and at least one polyol having at least three hydroxyl groups. The thermosetting powdered coating compositions provide coatings with low gloss levels that can be adjusted from a gloss level of less than 1 to 40 or less, when measured at an angle of 60°, by varying the ratios of the high Acid Value and low Acid Value polyester resins in the composition.

    摘要: A novel Aromatic Thermosetting Copolyester (ATSP) can be processed into highly effective wear resistant coatings by blending with polytetrafluorethylene (PTFE) and other additives. Surface treatments/coatings are key to improving wear performance and durability in a wide array of applications. The problems associated with use of liquid lubricants, hard/soft coatings are well known but only modest progress has been achieved due to lack of research on new material systems. These coatings were fabricated and tested as highly effective wear resistant coatings by blending ATSP with PTFE and other tribologically beneficial additives. The main advantages of these polymeric-based coatings are their relatively low cost and simple substrate surface conditioning (i.e., no need for expensive surface preparation before coating).
