    摘要: A device including a photon emitter, a light source, and a filter with a corresponding method for producing triggered single photons and triggered pairs of polarization-entangled photons are provided. The light source delivers a pulse to a photon emitter and generates pairs of electrons and holes to emit photons. The light source includes a mechanism to tune a pulse wavelength to an excited state-absorption resonance of the photon emitter. The light source could also include a device to selectively choose a polarization to create the pairs of electrons and holes of a particular spin. A filter isolates the last and single photon. Optionally, a micro-cavity is included to direct the emitted photons and couple to one or more optical elements. When the device or the method is used to produce triggered pairs of polarization-entangled photons, it works almost the same as for the single photons, except for modifications to the way the light source excites the photon emitter and how emission filtering is performed.

    摘要: During an upshift in a full-throttle state, the output of a shift command (Us1) from a control unit is followed by a delay in initiation of an actual shift, due to a delay in increase in oil pressure, a rise in the clutch torque load, etc. A shift initiation (Uj) is determined by comparing the input rotational speed (Ni) with the product of multiplication of the output rotational speed (vehicle speed) (No) by the pre-shift gear ratio. The shift point (Mp1) is learning-corrected based on the shift initiation-time engine rotational speed (NeI). Therefore, false learning is avoided even if the engine races during a shift.

    摘要: A quantum computer comprises a crystal lattice having storage atoms. The storage atoms have nuclear storage spins, and quantum bits are stored as orientations of the storage spins. A magnetic field is applied to the crystal, the magnetic field having a gradient on the order of 1T/&mgr;m. The gradient is generated by a micromagnet. The electrons of the crystal acquire a regular order, and the storage spins are initialized by inducing combined electron-nucleus transitions in the crystal, thereby transferring the electronic order to the storage spins. The storage spins are decoupled from each other by a decoupling magnetic field. Quantum logic operations are performed on the storage spins. Certain quantum logic operations require a modification of the decoupling field to recouple a plurality of the storage spins. Final polarizations of the storage spins are measured.

Card connector (10) comprises a main body (11) including a dielectric housing (13) accommodating multiple electrical contacts (12) and a grounding member (14) that is fabricated separately from the main body (11) and is secured thereto. The grounding member (14) has tabs (17) that electrically connect with an outer surface of a card inserted in the card connector (10) and connecting sections (16), the purpose of which is to electrically connect with electrical circuitry of a circuit board. The grounding member (14) can be latchably attached to the main body (11) that is mounted to the circuit board (100), and if necessary, it can be removed, thus providing access to connecting sections (12a) of electrical contacts (12).

    摘要: When a shift to a second gear ratio (second ratio) is determined during a shift control for a first shift (shift from fourth ratio to third ratio), the process status, or circumstances, of the first shift is determined using a hydraulic pressure for a fourth brake being engaged at the determination. When the process status, that is, the process circumstances, is in early phase, the first shift is interrupted and shift control for the direct shift to the second ratio (shift from fourth ratio to second ratio) is performed (first shift pattern). When the process status is in a late phase, the first shift control is continued, and after ending of the first shift control, the control for the shift to the second gear ratio (shift from third ratio to second ratio) is performed (second shift pattern). In the case of power off state, the second shift pattern is performed irrespective of the process status.

    摘要: A control system for an automatic transmission includes: a clutch adapted to be applied when a forward running range is selected, to transmit the rotation of an engine to the transmission mechanism of a speed change unit and a hydraulic servo for applying/releasing the clutch. A control unit controls oil pressure fed to the hydraulic servo and includes: an application starting pressure detector for detecting application starting pressure at the instant when the application of the clutch is started; an initial application pressure setter for setting an initial application pressure on the basis of the detected application starting pressure; and an oil pressure regulator for adjusting the oil pressure fed to the hydraulic servo, when a change is made to a forward running range, and then gradually raising that oil pressure. The application starting pressure detected by the application starting pressure detector is the value at which the application of the clutch is actually started, so that the initial application pressure can be properly set even if the actual oil pressure fed to the hydraulic servo regardless of the urging force of a return spring or variation in manufacture of the hydraulic control system.

    摘要: An automatic transmission control apparatus has first and second hydraulic servos for engaging forward and reverse driving friction engaging elements, respectively, a fluid pressure control unit, a range shift detector, and an electronic control unit. When the forward driving range is selected, the fluid pressure control unit supplies a forward driving range pressure to the hydraulic servo via a changeover valve operated by a signal pressure from a normal open-type solenoid valve, when the signal pressure is drained. When the reverse driving range is selected, the electronic control unit outputs a signal to magnetize the solenoid valve. The solenoid valve is thus turned on to discontinue the drain. The control apparatus thus prevents low pressure in the reverse driving range pressure to prevent delay of engagement of the clutch.
