Abstract: Disclosed herein is a multilayer laminate comprising a film comprising an ethylene-based elastomer; a first non-woven layer in contact with a first surface of the film; and a second non-woven layer in contact with a second surface of the film; wherein the second surface of the film is opposedly disposed to the first surface of the film; wherein at least one of the first non-woven layer or the second non-woven layer comprises a non-woven web; and wherein the non-woven web is formed from a bicomponent fiber having a first component comprising an polyethylene-based polymer and a second component comprising a polymer having a melting point that is higher than the polyethylene-based polymer, wherein at least a portion of a surface of the bicomponent fiber comprises the first component.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention relate to multilayer films and articles. In one aspect, a multilayer film comprises at least one outer layer comprising at least 50 wt % of a polyethylene composition comprising the reaction product of ethylene and optionally, one or more alpha-olefin comonomers, wherein the polyethylene composition is characterized by the following properties: a. a melt index, I2, of from 0.3 to 3.0 g/10 min; b. a density of from 0.950 to 0.965 g/cm3; c. a melt flow ratio, I10/I2, of from 6.3 to 7.5; and d. a molecular weight distribution (MWD) of from 2.2 to 3.5, wherein the multilayer film has a thickness of at least 2 mils, wherein the multilayer film comprises at least 50% by weight polyethylene, wherein the multilayer film exhibits a surface haze of 13.5% or less when measured according to ASTM 1003-07, and wherein the multilayer film exhibit a water vapor transmission rate of 0.7 g/mil/100 in2/day or less when measured according to ASTM F1249-06 at a temperature of 38° C. and a relative humidity of 100%.

The first layer may be positioned between the second layer and the third layer. The first polyolefin and the second polyolefin may be the same or different.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention relate to multilayer films, bags, and other articles. In one aspect, a multilayer film comprises a first skin layer having an overall density of less than or equal to 0.912 g/cm3; a second skin layer having an overall density of less than or equal to 0.912 g/cm3; and a core positioned between the skin layers, wherein the core has an overall density that is at least 0.01 g/cm3 greater than then overall density of the first skin layer, wherein the overall density of the multilayer film is from 0.905 to 0.930 g/cm3, wherein the film has a bending stiffness of 1.35 mN·mm or less when the film has a thickness of 2 mils (50.8 microns), wherein the film exhibits a Gelbo flex crack performance of 2 pinholes or less in 20,000 cycles, and wherein the film comprises at least 95% by weight polyethylene based on the total weight of the film.

Abstract: The present invention provides polyethylene-based compositions suitable for packaging applications, films, and articles. In one aspect, a polyethylene-based composition suitable for packaging applications comprises (a) at least 97% by weight, based on the total weight of the polyethylene-based composition, of a polyethylene composition comprising: (i) from 25 to 37 percent by weight of a first polyethylene fraction having a density in the range of 0.935 to 0.947 g/cm3 and a melt index (I2) of less than 0.1 g/10 minutes; and (ii) from 63 to 75 percent by weight of a second polyethylene fraction; and (b) 90 to 540 ppm, based on the total weight of the polyethylene-based composition of a calcium salt of 1,2-cyclohexanedicarboxylic acid; wherein the polyethylene composition has less than 0.10 branches per 1,000 carbon atoms when measured using 13C NMR, wherein the density of the polyethylene-based composition N is at least 0.965 g/cm3, and wherein the melt index (I2) of the polyethylene-based composition is 0.5 to 10 g/10 minutes.
