    摘要： The invention relates to the use of a flame resistant three-layer double-knit or woven fabric, also know as a matelasse fabric. The top layer is of standard non-flame resistant face yarn, the middle layer is of flame resistant filler yarn and the bottom layer is of flame resistant core wrap spun yarn. This flame resistant matelasse fabric can be used to protect a mattress, foundation, mattress pad, pillow, comforter, upholstery cushion, pillow, office panel, transportation seat or any other article requiring flame resistant protection. In this invention, a matelasse fabric is formed by circular double knitting or weaving a flame resistant core spun yarn into the bottom portion of the fabric, utilizing a heavy cotton count flame resistant filler yarns for the middle layer and using conventional non-flame resistant yarns for the top layer. The invention has particular applicability in the formation of flame resistant mattresses and foundations that require passage of large open flame tests such as CPSC's 16 CFR part 1633, California's Test Bulletin 603 and Test Bulletin 129 and in the formation of flame resistant upholstered furniture that requires passage of California's Test Bulletin 133 or British Standard 5852 using the crib 5 ignition source or higher.

    摘要： Apparatus and methods are provided for testing and analyzing a plurality of stream sources to monitor for an upset condition in one of the stream sources. A manifold is provided having a plurality of manifold inlets and a manifold outlet. A plurality of sampling devices for sampling the plurality of stream sources are coupled to the manifold inlets to provide stream samples to the manifold. A controller is in electronic communication with each of the plurality of sampling devices for providing test samples in the manifold. The controller alternately operates the sampling devices in (1) a sequencing mode in which each test sample is a stream sample from one of the plurality of sampling devices or (2) an averaging mode in which each test sample is representative of an average of the stream samples from the plurality of sampling devices. An analyzer is coupled to the manifold outlet to receive the test samples from the manifold and analyze each test sample for the presence of the upset condition.

    摘要： An indexing method and means for a sample support having multiple sample holders organized in rows and columns is disclosed. A cover with an opening therein slides over sidewalls surrounding at least part of the sample support. This covers a portion of the holders while allowing access to another portion. Stepped edges may be also provided to support multiple sample supports. Another embodiment provides symbols along one sidewall abutting the sample support and a second set of symbols along a guide member slidable over the sample support. These symbols are aligned with rows and columns of the sample support providing for indexing of any one sample holder. This device and method may be combined with a second component for second sample support having matching symbols, allowing for cross-indexing of the sample holders to one another.
