摘要: In a gate, a stile (20) and rail (21) abut side face to end face and are held together by a bolt passing at right angles through the end face to pull against a plate (25) located in a slot (26). Straps (34,41), see FIGS. 11 and 13, are used to reinforce the hanging and shutting stiles (20,20A) and to carry hanging and latching parts. A latching mechanism, see FIGS. 13 to 16, includes a latching bar (43) that is pivotally connected to the shutting stile (20) towards its middle by a flange (44). A leaf spring (45) urges the bar (43) into a latching position at which, when the gate is shut, the bar (43) is caught behind upper and lower retainers (46) mounted on a shutting gatepost (48). By pulling on a handle (50), the bar (43) can be rocked free of the retainers (46) to permit the gate to be opened. Connector plates ( 31) having sharp tongs are used, see FIGS. 9 and 10, with bolts to connect reinforcing struts (30) to the upper and lower rails (21,21A). Upper and lower hinge brackets for mounting on a hanging gatepost are also provided, see FIGS. 17 to 23.

摘要: Devices and methods for endolumenally manipulating stomach fundus tissue alter the function of nearby nerves. The altered function of the nerves interacts with the cardiopulmonary system to cause a substantially permanent reduction in blood pressure. The altered nerve function may also treat heart disease as well. This application also relates to devices and methods for endolumenally manipulating stomach tissue to alter hormone production from cells associated with stomach tissue, providing a therapeutic effect in treating hypertension and heart disease, not conventionally associated with the stomach.

摘要: A fluid controlled device is adapted for disposition in a body conduit where it controls the flow of body fluids within the conduit. A sleeve is provided with a wall of separation having a first surface which defines a flow passage facilitating the flow of body fluids, and a second surface which defines an exclusion chamber sealed from the flow passage. Various dilators have properties for moving the seal between a low-profile state facilitating insertion of the device, any high-profile state defining the flow passage and exclusion chamber. The dilator may be skeletal, inflatable, and/or porous. An associated method includes the step of dilating a dilation assembly to move a wall from a low profile, insertible state, to a high-profile wherein the wall defines a flow passage and an exclusion cavity.

摘要: A dual function cleaning nozzle assembly for prewashing kitchen utensils. The cleaning nozzle includes air and fluid inlets. The air inlet is coupled to an air conduit which includes a first control valve, and the fluid inlet is coupled to a fluid conduit which includes a second control valve. A lever or button is coupled to a first valve for discharging pressurized air through the air conduit. The air and fluid conduits are coupled to an outlet chamber which has a spray head. Compressed air is discharged from the spray head for allowing kitchen utensils to be prewashed with air. The lever or button is further coupled to a second valve for discharging pressurized fluid through the fluid conduit. The fluid conduit is also coupled to the outlet chamber for allowing a discharge of pressurized air and fluid to be sprayed from the nozzle to further prewash the kitchen utensils.

摘要: In a test system, test fixtures that hold modules are controlled to enable an operator to separate modules that pass a test from modules that fail. When a module under test is properly loaded in a test fixture, a test fixture controller instructs a tester to start a test procedure. For a semiautomatic test fixture, a test start command is automatically supplied to the tester when the test fixture is closed around the module under test. The test fixture controller automatically interprets the test results provided by the tester. The module that passes the test is automatically released from the test fixture. If the module fails, the test fixture controller keeps it locked in the test fixture. The module is released only when an operator presses a failure acknowledgement button on a control box.

摘要: A multi-image detector assembly has an array of detector elements formed upon a single focal plane and a plurality of focusing members, each focusing member focusing a substantially identical scene upon a corresponding one of a plurality of sections of the array. An optical element such as a spectral or polarizing filter is disposed within a plurality of the optical paths of the focusing members, preferably proximate the focal plane. Image detection occurs continuously and simultaneously so as to provide a spatially and temporally correlated set of separate images utilizing the single focal plane.
