    摘要: A water-containing solid fuel drying apparatus that can efficiently dry with low energy consumption by effectively utilizing sensible heat and latent heat of a heating medium for drying, etc. is provided. A drying apparatus (10) that dries water-containing solid fuel includes a dryer (20) that injects scavenging gas into the interior of a drying vessel (21) in which a heat transfer pipe (22) is disposed; a dust collector (13) that removes microparticles from microparticle-containing mixed gaseous fluid that has flowed out of the drying vessel (21); a compressor (30) that compresses vapor-containing mixed gaseous fluid; a vapor heat exchanger (31) that preheats low-pressure mixed gaseous fluid with high-pressure mixed gaseous fluid compressed at the compressor (30); and a gas-liquid separator (14), in which the high-pressure mixed gaseous fluid is employed as drying gas that radiates heat by passing through the heat transfer pipe (22), that performs gas-liquid separation of water-containing scavenging gas that has flowed out of the heat transfer pipe (22) while containing condensed water of vapor generated due to heat radiation, wherein the water-containing solid fuel is dried by heating the water-containing solid fuel in the drying vessel (21) utilizing latent heat and sensible heat of the mixed gaseous fluid.

The main body includes an image forming unit configured to form an image on a medium, and a media conveyance mechanism configured to convey the medium to the image forming unit. A media conveyance unit is attached to the main body and is configured to convey the medium to the media conveyance mechanism. A media retreat path is defined by opposed surfaces of the media conveyance unit and the main body which are opposed to each other. The media retreat path is configured to receive at least a part of the medium being retreated. The media retreat path inclines in a way that a height level of the media retreat path gradually becomes lower from its entrance side to its back-end side.

    摘要: A fixing device (1) includes a fixing roller (11), a heating roller (12), an endless belt (13) stretched around the fixing roller (11) and the heating roller (12), and a pressure roller (14) facing the fixing roller (11) via the endless belt (13), and has an internal heat source. The endless belt (13) is applied the tension by means of a tension applying spring (17). The fixing roller (11) is supported by a swing lever (15) and pressed against the pressure roller (14). The swing lever (15) is pushed by a cam (18) upward, so that the fixing roller (11) shifts in the direction away from the pressure roller (14). As the fixing roller (11) shifts upward, the tension applied to the endless belt (13) decreases.
