    Abstract: A battery block includes a plurality of cylindrical batteries, a battery holder having a plurality of accommodating parts into which axial one end portions of the cylindrical batteries are inserted, and a pair of terminal plates, that connect the cylindrical batteries in parallel. Each of the accommodating parts includes the partition wall formed along an outer peripheral surface of cylindrical battery, an extending portion that extends on the first end surface so as to surround a part of the first end surface on which the safety valve is disposed and is formed integrally with the partition wall, and an opening that exposes the part of the first end surface on which the safety valve is disposed.

    Abstract: A cylindrical battery with an opening sealing body that seals an opening of a battery can. The opening sealing body includes a valve member, a metal plate disposed on an inner side of the battery with respect to the valve member, and an annular insulating member interposed between the valve member and the metal plate. The valve member and the metal plate are connected to each other at respective central portions. The valve member has an annular thin-walled portion which is deformable when an internal pressure of the battery increases, and a recessed portion is formed by the thin-walled portion on the insulating member opposing side of the valve member. The insulating member has a section P1 that covers a surface, on the valve member side, of the metal plate, and the section P1 has a rib to be housed in the recessed portion.

    Abstract: A wound-type battery includes a wound electrode group having a first electrode and a second electrode with polarity opposite to the first electrode, an electrolyte, a battery case, a sealing plate that seals an opening of the battery case, an insulating plate that is disposed between the electrode group and the sealing plate and that has a hole, and a first tab that passes through the hole to electrically connect the first electrode and the sealing plate to each other. At least a part of a region of the first tab that extends through the hole to a sealing plate side is covered with a tab tape on a side facing the insulating plate. The tab tape includes at least a first adhesive layer and a second adhesive layer on a side opposite the first adhesive layer and is in contact with the first tab through the first adhesive layer.

    Abstract: A battery can has a cylindrical body section, an opening section at one end of the body section, and a bottom section closing the other end of the body section. An annularly grooved portion is formed by constriction near the open end of the opening section. The annularly grooved portion has an upper-groove section as the section closer to the open end than the narrowest section, which is positioned farthest inside, of the grooved portion, and also has a lower-groove section as the section closer to the bottom section than the narrowest section. The wall thickness T1 of the lower-groove section is larger than the wall thickness T2 of the body section.
