    Abstract: A wrist-type body composition measuring apparatus is provided to measure body composition conveniently. The wrist-type body composition measuring apparatus includes a main body comprising a measurer configured to measure body impedance of a user, and an analyzer configured to analyze a body composition of the user based on the measured body impedance; a strap connected to the main body and configured to be flexible; a first inner electrode and a second inner electrode which are provided on a rear surface of the main body to be in direct contact with the user; and a first outer electrode and a second outer electrode which are provided on a surface of the main body to be in contact with the user during measurement of the body composition, wherein the first outer electrode and the second outer electrode are each formed as a half ring and face each other with a gap therebetween.

    Abstract: A wrist-wearable body composition measuring device includes a main body; a strap connected to the main body; a first input electrode and a first output electrode which are provided on an inner surface of the strap and configured to contact a wrist of a subject; a second input electrode and a second output electrode which are provided on an outer surface of the strap; a measuring unit configured to measure a body impedance of the subject by applying current to the first input electrode and the second input electrode and detecting a voltage generated between the first output electrode and the second output electrode in response to the applied current; and a processor configured to analyze a body composition of the subject based on the body impedance measured by the measuring unit.

    Abstract: A method of measuring a bio signal using a bio signal measuring apparatus includes: positioning electrodes included as part of the bio signal measuring apparatus to contact a surface of an examinee; switching an impedance measurer included as part of the bio signal measuring apparatus and including a voltmeter and a current source; measuring a first impedance value of the examinee while operating the impedance measurer according to a first mode; switching the impedance measurer to a second mode; measuring a second impedance value of the examinee while operating the impedance measurer according to a second mode; and obtaining bio impedance of the examinee based on the first and second impedance values and an internal impedance of the current source.

    Abstract: Provided are a microfluidic chip, and an apparatus and a method for detecting biomolecules by using the microfluidic chip. According to an example embodiment, the microfluidic chip includes: a first storage configured to accommodate a sample, the sample including target materials; a plurality of second storages connected to the first storage, the plurality of second storages including reactants for the target materials; and a plurality of well arrays connected to the plurality of second storages, respectively, and configured to accommodate a solution of the sample, in which the reactants for the target materials are dissolved.
