摘要: The present invention relates to a high pressure homogenizing apparatus and a method thereof for finely dividing a fine solid material or fibrous cellulose of chemical, medical, and resin products in a suspension as a dispersion or emulsification, or finely dividing by crushing cell membranes of fungi with high efficiency. The apparatus of the present invention is free from damage of valves so that its maintenance and control become easy. The high pressure homogenizing apparatus to finely divide a raw material in the suspension includes a high pressure homogenizing device having an orifice, a raw material receiving passage connected to the high pressure homogenizing device, a processing piston, and a processing recess disposed in a receiver. A front end of the processing piston is inserted into the processing recess with a pressure intensifier and a volume compression inside the processing recess pressurizes the suspension in the processing recess to lead the suspension into the raw material receiving passage for finely dividing the raw material.

摘要: A ZnO--Pd composite catalyst wherein Pd is dispersed and fixed on the surface of ZnO is produced by ion adsorption process having the steps of soaking ZnO in an acid solution of Pd to adsorb Pd ions (Pd.sup.2+) onto the surface of ZnO; and reducing the adsorbed Pd ions to metallic Pd particles so that the metallic Pd particles are substantially evenly deposited on the surface of ZnO. The ZnO--Pd composite catalyst provides a stable and continuing CO oxidizing capability, without light irradiation, even when the air to be treated contains sulfur compounds such as H.sub.2 S and SOx.

摘要: A paper feeder of a label printer makes printing successively on a continuous printing paper on which a multiplicity of label papers are affixed. The paper feeder includes a control device for moving back the continuous printing paper by a length obtained by adding a fixed length capable of continuously making the next printing subsequently to a final printing position of the printing paper upon resumption of the printing operation when the movement of the printing paper is stopped by completion of the printing operation to an adjustment length for settling a printing position and makes printing successively from a fixed position of the label paper upon resumption after the printing operation is stopped. In this case, the adjustment length is set to a sum of a length from the printing start position of the printing paper upon resumption of the printing operation to a label position detection sensor disposed ahead in the backward direction and a length required to cause the printing paper to reach a constant speed upon resumption of the printing operation.

摘要: A chromatographic separation process employing fewer beds packed with an adsorbent, while enabling separation of feedstock fluid, containing a plurality of components which have different degrees of affinity for the adsorbent, into constituent fractions which are withdrawn separately. According to at least one preferred embodiment, a step of supplying feedstock fluid to the simplified separation apparatus is preceded and followed by a step of circulating the fluid through the apparatus, a cycle of supply-desorbing-circulation being carried out repeatedly.

摘要: A calculation unit of a hydraulic shovel display system sets a predetermined display range displayed as a guidance picture for land shape data. The guidance picture shows a cross section of a target surface included in a display range as seen from a side of a main vehicle body, and a current position of the hydraulic shovel. The calculation unit calculates a position of a start point nearest the main vehicle body and a position of an end point set apart from the start point by a maximum reach length of the work machine in the cross section of the target surface as seen from the side based on land shape data, work machine data and a current position of the main vehicle body. The calculation unit calculates a predetermined reference point of the display range based on the positions of the start point and the end point.

摘要: A vehicle provides a greater maximum acceleration/deceleration, while maintaining a pleasant driving, when M is a total vehicle mass, L is a height of center of gravity of the whole vehicle, λ is a maximum displacement amount of a balancer, and m is a mass of the balancer, the balancer mass m or the maximum displacement amount λ, of the balancer is decided so as to satisfy the following expression: (m/M)(λ/L)=α. By using the expression 1, the balancer mass m and the maximum displacement amount A, of the balancer can be set to an optimal value against the total vehicle mass M. Thus it is possible to decide the balancer mass m and the maximum displacement amount λ for the maximum acceleration α of the vehicle.

摘要: A power supply unit operation is switched depending on a load requirement. Namely, when the load requirement is smaller than a predetermined value, operation of a fuel cell system is stopped and electric power is obtained from a secondary battery during an intermittent operation mode. Alternatively, when the load requirement is equal to or larger than the predetermined value, the electric power is obtained from a fuel cell during a steady operation mode.

摘要: A high pressure homogenizer segmentalizes material made of minute solid or the like by passing suspension liquid including the material to a small diameter orifice at high speed under high pressure. An injection valve of the high pressure homogenizer includes: a fixed member having a material introducing passage therein; and a movable member disposed rotatably, swingably, or pulsatingly opposite to the fixed member in an axial direction of the fixed member. The orifice of the injection valve is made of a fine gap in a radial direction disposed between an end face of the fixed member facing an end of the material introducing passage and an end face of the movable member disposed at an end of the movable member opposed to the fixed member. The orifice communicates with a material processing passage via a ring-shaped collision wall.
