Abstract:
An external structural brace apparatus and method for supporting a user on a surface and for the user to ambulate along the surface to relieve shoulder, armpit, hand, foot, and wrist loads, the apparatus includes first and second support beams that each have a telescoping cantilever beam that contacts the surface. The first and second support beams have a primary pivotal couple at one end to one another with a mechanism to create opposite symmetrical movement of the beams. An attachment element supports the user at their torso has a secondary pivotal connection to the first and second beams and third and fourth user handles that are pivotally attached to the first and second beams are for grasping by the user to extend and retract the telescoping cantilever beams to and from the surface at reduced and increased extension and retraction rates for user ease of ambulating along the surface.

The system also includes at least one sensor to determine a force the at least one connection element or at least one of the plurality of anchor elements and to output signals relating to the force, at least one actuator configured to change a tension in the soft exosuit and at least one controller configured to receive the signals output from the at least one sensor and actuate the at least one actuator responsive to the received signals.
Abstract:
A fitness equipment for use in hip lift and treading, including a casing. The casing has therein a power source. The power source is a motor. A center axle of the motor rotates to drive a transmission shaft. The transmission shaft drives first and second independent shafts to rotate. Rotational mechanical energy of the first and second independent shafts is transmitted to first, second, third and fourth eccentric blocks, such that first, second, third and fourth spindles, first and second U-shaped supports, and first and second rests together move vertically and alternately along an elliptic track so as for a user standing on the first and second rests to tread and for the user sitting on the first and second rests to perform hip lift.
Abstract:
A manual CPR apparatus for increasing the flow of blood in a patient suffering cardiac arrest. A force multiplier mounts to a base contoured to seat near a central region of the patient's chest. The force multiplier connects to a manual actuator and belt connectors which, in turn, connect to opposite ends of a substantially inelastic belt wrapped around the patient's chest. The force multiplier doubles the force manually applied to the actuator and directs it through the base toward the chest. The force multiplier includes two assemblies. The first has a pair of arms rigidly connected in the same plane to a trolley assembly and two grippable handles extending perpendicularly from either side of the trolley assembly. The second assembly has a pair of vertical struts that attach to opposite sides of the base on either side of the pair of arms of the first assembly.
Abstract:
There is provided a massage apparatus capable of providing optimum massage effects even with variations in thickness of to-be-treated area such as a lower leg from user to user. The massage apparatus 1 comprises a massage section 7 having a stationary massage member 15 and a movable massage member 16, a rotary shaft 9, 10 disposed so as to pass through the base end of the movable massage member 16, a driving section 11 for rotatably driving the rotary shaft 9, 10, a pair of right-hand and left-hand changer sections 12, 13 for changing a rotational force of the rotary shaft 9, 19 into an action of movement of the movable massage member 16 toward and away from the stationary massage member 15; and a breadth adjustment mechanism 14 capable of positioning movement of the stationary massage member 15 in directions toward and away from the movable massage member 16.
Abstract:
An apparatus for manipulating the joint of a patient is provided. The apparatus comprises an actuator and a linkage. The actuator itself comprises: 1) a cylinder portion defining an interior cavity; and 2) an inflatable bladder member at least partially inside the cavity of the cylinder portion. The linkage is operatively positioned intermediate the actuator and the joint of the patient, the linkage configured to be activated and to flex the joint upon inflation of the bladder. A piston portion may also be provided and configured to move relative to cylinder portion within the cavity in response to inflation of the bladder. A patient connection and manipulation device may also be provided within the apparatus and configured to be attached relative to the patient, attached intermediate the linkage and the patient, and configured to at least partially assist with treatment upon activation of the linkage.
Abstract:
An omnidirectionally moving wheel includes multiple rotating bodies and a wheel, wherein each rotating body has a flexibility to be able to bend a rotational axis, is bent to encircle an outer circumference of the wheel in a ring-like shape, and is compressed in a direction of the rotational axis of each rotating body to be disposed on the wheel in a manner to allow rotation centered around each rotating body's secured rotational axis extending along a plane perpendicular to the rotational axis of the wheel.
Abstract:
A leg exercising equipment is disclosed. It mainly comprises a base, a driving system, and a lower leg supporting frame for exercising the legs and lower body of a user. The driving system includes a driving device, a rotary element, a link, a guiding element and a guiding frame. So, it can create a unique substantially 8-shaped smooth reciprocated moving path to overcome the sharp-return problem of the conventional one. This invention's exercise is very smooth, comfortable, and effective. Also, it contains both the horizontal and vertical movements for exercise. And, the starting section and the ending section are added to provide a better exercising effect.
Abstract:
The application discloses a core of massager and a massager which comprise a shell, a driving assembly, two transmission assemblies and two massaging assemblies, the shell has a first opening and a second opening on both sides; the driving assembly comprises a driving source arranged in the shell and a rotating shaft connected with the driving source; the two transmission assemblies, connected to two ends of the rotating shaft, comprise a first eccentric wheel, a second eccentric wheel and a positioning wheel, all sleeved on the rotating shaft, the positioning wheel and the first eccentric wheel form an oblique space; the two massaging assemblies respectively extend out of the first and second openings, comprise a first massaging arm arranged in the oblique space and sleeved on the first eccentric wheel, a second massaging arm sleeved on the second eccentric wheel and pivotally connected to the shell via a connecting rod.
