Abstract:
A dip-coating method for forming a smooth coated film on the surface of an article by dipping the article in a coating solution while making ultrasonic waves act on the coating solution and forming a uniform liquid flow on the surface of the coating solution. An apparatus for practicing the method is also disclosed.
Abstract:
Technologies are generally described to increase a surface smoothness of a 3D printed article implementing a water-based treatment using layer by layer (LBL) deposition. An initial 3D printed article having an anionic surface may be treated with a first aqueous solution comprising at least one polycation that may bind to the anionic surface to produce a first treated surface, which may be rinsed with water to remove the first aqueous solution. The first treated surface may be treated with a second aqueous solution comprising at least one anionic microparticle that may bind to the polycation to produce a final 3D printed article having. a second treated surface, which may be rinsed with water to remove the second aqueous solution. The bound polycation and anionic microparticle may be present as a single layer in the final 3D printed article that may act as a conformal coating to increase the surface smoothness.
Abstract:
A fiber processing system includes a fiber spreader that has a spreader bar that extends in a lengthwise direction between first and second ends. The spreader bar carries at least one radiused surface between the first and second ends. At least one mechanical vibration device is operable to vibrate the spreader bar. The at least one mechanical vibration device is connected to input mechanical vibration into the spreader bar at a location between the first and second ends. A method for spreading at least one fiber bundle includes moving at least one tensioned fiber bundle over a radiused surface of the spreader bar. During the moving, mechanical vibration is input into the spreader bar at a location between the first and second ends, to transversely spread and flatten the at least one tensioned fiber bundle.
Abstract:
A continuous dosage form coating apparatus uses vibrational impulses to maintain a dosage forms in a fluid state to expose them to a coating material atomized by spraying.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a coating device for small parts, in particular for lacquering mass produced small parts, like e.g. bolts, small plastic parts and similar, and it relates to a method for this purpose with a movable receiver element for receiving and moving the small parts, and a dispenser device, located at the receiver element for continuous or portioned dispensing the coating material into the receiver element, wherein a radiation emitter device is provided in the receiver element for emitting radiation for drying and/or hardening the coating material.
Abstract:
A method of forming a water vapor barrier layer to a core of a golf ball is provided. The method includes placing the core of the golf ball into a vapor barrier composition, withdrawing the lifting device, and spinning and optionally oscillating the core within the composition for a time sufficient for the composition to form a layer on the core. The present invention also provides an apparatus that can be used to form a water vapor barrier layer on the core.
Abstract:
A magnetic lifting device for lifting a stack of specimen holders out of one tube and lowering them into another tube is disclosed. The device avoids the necessity of manual handling of the stack. In the device there are a number of stack holding tubes, each one open at the top, positioned in a circle about a vertical axis of a rotatable carousel. An indexing system rotates the carousel to selectively place one of the stack holding tubes in a treatment position. The improvement comprises a magnetizable member attached to the top of the stack of sample holders, a transfer tube having a bottom opening positioned to mate on top of the stack holding tube to hold the magnetizable member in a magnetic field, a device to raise and lower the magnetic coil about the transfer tube to raise and lower the magnetic coil about the transfer tube to raise the stack into the transfer tube allowing the carousel to be rotated, and lower the stack into another stack holding tube.
Abstract:
A sector roll dipping plant for impregnating rotating components (1) of electric machines in the form of stators and rotors has a roll dipping tank or roller immersion tray (6) that is divided into sectors having impregnating agent inlets (11) which are separated from one another by bulkheads or partition walls (7). At least one sealing element (8) connected to one of the partition walls (7) is in contact with the rotating component (1). A method for impregnating a rotating component (1) (such as a stator or rotor of an electric machine) uses the sector roll dipping plant to cause only the grooves of the rotating component to be soaked with impregnating agent while laminations on the outer jacket surface of the rotating component remain clean.
Abstract:
A paint application system for an object in a paint submersion operation. The paint application system includes at least one clamp configured to be coupled to the object, and an auxiliary vibration apparatus coupled to the at least one clamp. The auxiliary vibration apparatus is configured to introduce sympathetic vibrations into the object in the paint submersion operation.
