摘要： An applicator head for a vacuum coating system includes a manifold shell having opposing shell plates, each including a conduit attachment coupled to a shell aperture. An applicator manifold is affixed to each shell plate. Each applicator manifold includes two coupled manifold plates, with one including a manifold aperture, and each is affixed to the respective shell plate so that each manifold aperture aligns with the respective shell aperture. An applicator channel is formed between the manifold plates of each applicator manifold, and the applicator channel is fluidically coupled to the manifold aperture of each respective applicator manifold. Each applicator channel forms an applicator port at a leading edge of each respective applicator manifold, and each leading edge is configured to be complementary in shape to an edge of a workpiece to be coated. First and second face plates are disposed over the leading edges of the applicator manifolds.

摘要： The purpose of the present invention is to provide a nozzle and an application apparatus which can obtain sufficient application quality even when fluid with high viscosity is applied, and a method of applying the fluid thereof. The nozzle includes a discharging means having a wide discharge port that is opened so that the fluid is dischargeable in a belt shape to be applied to an application object, and a cutting means for cutting the fluid discharged from the discharge port. In the nozzle, the cutting means is cuttable of the fluid by a wire that is movable from one side to the other side of an opening area that constitutes the discharge port.

摘要： Substrates such as fabrics are treated in an apparatus that includes a chemical transfer apparatus and a transport means which conducts the substrate past the chemical transfer apparatus. The chemical transfer apparatus applies a solid chemical treatment mixture to the substrate continuously as the substrate is transported past the chemical transfer apparatus. The chemical treatment mixture includes a monomer that is cured by free radical polymerization. The applied chemical treatment mixture is then cured on the substrate by free radical polymerization. This invention provides a dry alternative to conventional wet coating methods, and avoids many of the problems associated with wet coating methods.

摘要： A method, system and computer program product for implementing an enhanced optical mirror coupling and alignment mechanism utilizing two-photon resist. An initial placement is provided for one or more vias on a printed circuit board. A via is filled with a resist. A series of tightly focused light beams suitably exposes the resist at varying depths in the via, the varying depths defining a sloped polymer in the via after removing resist that had not been at the focus of the light beam. The sloped polymer is coated with reflective material to reflect light into or out of the via.
