摘要: A method determines a position of at least one element that can be moved by a drive belt of a drive unit. A system is made of such components. A program carries out the method. In order to determine an absolute position of the movable element in a simple manner, the drive belt is expanded over a measurement interval and a force required to do so is determined via an efficiency of the drive unit. An effective length of the drive belt is determined from the measurement interval and the force and from a modulus of elasticity and a cross-section. The position is determined from the effective length.

摘要: A window lifter system and method coordinates closing of multiple windows by detecting when more than one window pane is approaching a fully closed position and moving one window pane to only an approximately closed position while the other window pane is moved to the fully closed position. By staggering the closure of window panes to the fully closed positions, the system and method provides the illusion that all of the window panes are being closed at the same time while avoiding voltage drops in the vehicle power supply caused by excessively high blocking currents generated when multiple window panes are moved to the fully closed position.

摘要: Various apparatuses, methods and systems for directionally controlling a movable partition are provided. In one embodiment, an apparatus may include at least one roller assembly coupled to a portion of a movable partition. A roller element of the roller assembly may be configured to maintain contact with an adjacent surface (e.g., a floor) while the partition is displaced along a desired path even though the adjacent surface may exhibit unevenness, undulations or other substantially nonplanar surface features. In one embodiment, the apparatus may be configured to maintain a substantially constant force between the roller element and the adjacent surface. In another embodiment, the apparatus may be configured to maintain a force between the roller element and the adjacent surface substantially within a specified range. A steering actuator may also be used to select, or change, the orientation of the roller assembly with respect to the partition.

摘要: A power-operated system for actuating the liftgates of motor vehicles is disclosed. The system includes a controllable strut with internal locking structure that includes a driver and a valve assembly. The controllable strut is typically mounted on one side of the liftgate between the liftgate and the vehicle's frame. Conventional strut may be mounted on the other side of the liftgate. One end of each strut is connected to a powered articulating arm. To move the liftgate between open and closed positions, the articulating arms move the controllable strut and the other strut between positions of greater and lesser mechanical advantage. During the movements, the locking structure in the controllable strut may be activated and deactivated either cyclically or continuously to momentarily to retain the controllable strut as particular lengths.
