    摘要: An apparatus for cooling a vehicle engine includes: a combustion chamber in which a piston reciprocates; water jackets in which a coolant flows to cool the combustion chamber; and a cylinder block forming a framework of an engine. In particular, the cylinder block includes: a cylinder block body in which the combustion chamber is formed, and an exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) cooler mounted in the cylinder block body such that the EGR cooler is heat-exchanged with a coolant discharged from the combustion chamber. The cylinder block body is provided with an EGR cooler insertion part, to which a coolant of the combustion chamber is supplied and the EGR cooler is inserted, and the EGR cooler is provided with a gas tube in which an exhaust gas flows. The exhaust gas of the gas tube is cooled by a coolant supplied to the EGR cooler insertion part.

In at least one of cross sections perpendicular to the longitudinal direction, the first coolant flow passage is located between a flat plane including central axes of a plurality of combustion chambers and parallel to the longitudinal direction and a central line plane including central lines of a plurality of intake ports. In at least one of cross sections perpendicular to the longitudinal direction, at least a portion of a second coolant flow passage is located between the combustion chamber and the first coolant flow passage. A coolant at a temperature lower than that of a coolant flowing in the second coolant flow passage flows in the first coolant flow passage.

    摘要: An engine assembly includes a turbocharger and a fluid conduit thermally coupled to the turbocharger such that the coolant flowing through the fluid conduit can extract heat from the turbocharger. The engine assembly further includes an exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) system and a second fluid conduit thermally coupled to the EGR system such that the coolant flowing through the second fluid conduit can extract heat from the EGR system. The engine assembly also includes an engine head defining a coolant gallery extending therethrough. The coolant gallery is in fluid communication with the first fluid conduit and the second fluid conduit. Further, the engine assembly includes an exhaust manifold integrated with the engine head. The coolant gallery is thermally coupled to the exhaust manifold such that the coolant flowing through the coolant gallery can extract heat from the exhaust manifold.
