Abstract: An engine with an EGR device includes an engine case, and an EGR pipe that introduces an EGR gas into an intake path. The EGR pipe is arranged to pass through an inside of the engine case. A part of the EGR pipe in the engine case is arranged to face a cooling water path in the engine case. The engine case is defined by a cylinder head. The cooling water path is arranged to surround a whole circumference of the EGR pipe.

Abstract: An oil cooling structure of an engine is provided that is capable of enhancing cooling performance of oil while preventing an increase in number of components or an increase in required space from being involved as much as possible. In an oil cooling structure of an engine in which a transmission case is attached to one end wall of an engine body, and a transmission mechanism for an accessory drive is provided in the transmission case, the transmission case is formed into a potlid-shaped body having a plurality of rib walls along a front-rear direction, and is attached to an engine front wall with an engine cooling fan, and case inner chamber portions partitioned by the rib walls in the transmission case are configured as a transporting passage of oil circulated by an oil pump.

Abstract: There is provided an engine water-cooling device that can increase warming-up efficiency of an engine. The engine water-cooling device includes a thermostat housing that houses a thermostat. The thermostat housing is mounted to a front wall of a cylinder head in one side portion in a width direction of the cylinder head. A cooling water pump is mounted to a front wall of a cylinder block in a central portion in a width direction of the cylinder block. A bypass passage includes an intra-head bypass passage in the cylinder head, and the intra-head bypass passage includes a width-direction passage portion extending from a position behind the thermostat housing to a position behind and above the cooling water pump.

Abstract: There is provided an engine capable of reducing oil consumption. The engine includes a cylinder head, a cylinder head cover mounted above the cylinder head, a rocker arm covered by the cylinder head cover, and a breather chamber provided inside the cylinder head cover. As a front-rear direction is defined by a longitudinal direction of the cylinder head cover, the breather chamber has a blow-by gas inlet at one side in the front-rear direction, a blow-by gas outlet at another side in the front-rear direction, and an oil discharging guide chamber at an intermediate part in the front-rear direction. The blow-by gas inlet is opened on a bottom wall of the breather chamber, and a peripheral wall of the oil discharging guide chamber is protruded downwardly from the bottom wall of the breather chamber toward between the rocker arm provided at a side of the blow-by gas outlet and the blow-by gas inlet.

The engine cooler includes a cylinder block including a cylinder barrel and a water jacket, and a spacer stored in the water jacket, the water jacket surrounds the cylinder barrel, and the spacer encloses the cylinder barrel. Given that a width direction of the cylinder block is a lateral direction, a pressed member is pressed between the cylinder barrel and the spacer on lateral sides of the cylinder barrel, and a lower end of the pressed member is disposed above a lower end of each of right and left skirts of a piston located at a top dead center.

Abstract: There is provided an engine lubricating device with which passage resistance of an oil strainer can be reduced and a support stay for an oil filter is unnecessary. An oil strainer includes an outer cylinder and an inner cylinder, the outer cylinder and the inner cylinder respectively have straight central axes and form inner and outer double cylinders, the outer cylinder has a strainer inlet at a lower end, the inner cylinder has a peripheral wall formed as a filter portion, the oil strainer is led out in an orientation inclined downward from the cylinder block toward an inner bottom portion of an oil pan, an upper end portion of the outer cylinder is fixed to a cylinder block, and an upper end opening portion of the inner cylinder communicates with an oil passage inlet of the cylinder block.

Abstract: A piston for an engine includes a skirt part, and a resin coating film and a recess formed on a surface of the skirt part. A plurality of the resin coating films are discretely arranged in spots on the surface of the skirt part, and a mesh-like groove is formed by the recess provided between the resin coating films. The recess formed on the skirt part between the resin coating films adjacent to each other in a piston circumference direction is set to be adjacent to another resin coating film in a piston moving direction. An end part of the resin coating film in the piston moving direction is formed in a concave shape when seen in a piston radius direction.
