摘要: A control circuit accesses information regarding a given patient. That information may include, for example, segmentation information that depicts at least one treatment volume and at least one organ-at-risk. The control circuit then defines a plurality of dose-calculation sectors for the given patient as a function, at least in part, of the information regarding the given patient. Those dose-calculation sectors are not assumed to be uniformly sized. These teachings can then provide for optimizing a radiation treatment plan, such as a volumetric modulated arc therapy radiation treatment plan, as a function, at least in part, of the plurality of dose-calculation sectors to provide an optimized radiation treatment plan.

摘要: Systems, devices, and methods for controlling cooperative surgical instruments are provided. Various aspects of the present disclosure provide for coordinated operation of surgical instruments accessing a common body cavity of a patient from different approaches to achieve a common surgical purpose. For example, various methods, devices, and systems disclosed herein can enable the coordinated treatment of surgical tissue by disparate minimally invasive surgical systems that approach the tissue from varying anatomical spaces and operate in concert with one another to effect a desired surgical treatment.

摘要: Techniques include receiving a treatment plan for a subject, including a body outline, a position on a couch, and, for each gantry angle, a couch angle an isocenter and target volumes to which a radiation source is directed. A perspective transform matrix is based on projected coordinates of reference points from a digital image projector onto each different plane perpendicular to a beam from the radiation source at different distances. Two-dimensional spot positions for a gantry and couch angle are determined based on the treatment plan. A group of spot positions are determined based on a common distance from the radiation source to the body outline. Illuminated spots on a projection image are determined based on the group and the perspective transform matrix closest to the common distance. The projection image is projected from the image projector onto the subject on the couch.

摘要: A system is provided that employs a machine learning (ML) decision tree to provide a treatment analysis for an arrhythmia. The ML decision tree includes decision nodes (non-leaf nodes) and treatment analysis nodes (leaf nodes). Each decision node corresponds to a feature derived from electronic health records and has branches corresponding to feature values. A treatment analysis node corresponds to a treatment analysis based on feature values of a path from the root node to that treatment analysis node. To provide a treatment analysis for a candidate, the system identifies a path from the root node to a treatment analysis node based on a candidate feature vector derived from an electronic health record of the candidate and outputs the treatment analysis of the treatment analysis node of the identified path.

The second circuit board assembly can include a second controller configured to wirelessly communicate therapy data via a communication network, receive an executable command from an electronic device, and execute the executable command without providing the executable command to the first controller.

Some embodiments of the methods, systems, computer readable media, and GUIs described herein comprise obtaining RNA expression data and/or whole exome sequencing (WES) data for a biological sample from a plurality of subjects, determining a respective plurality of molecular-functional (MF) profiles for the plurality of subjects, and storing the plurality of MF profiles in association with information identifying the particular cancer type.

A client generates a surgical plan request that includes data relevant to a patient and an orthopaedic surgical procedure to be performed upon the patient. The surgical plan system receives the surgical plan request, generates a surgical plan that has been customized based upon the data of the surgical plan request, and transmits the customized surgical plan to the client.
