Abstract: Examples include techniques for using a modulation and coding scheme (MCS) for downlink transmissions. In some examples information elements (IEs) for either a physical multicast channel (PMCH) or a physical multicast control channel (PMCCH) include information to indicate an MCS for downlink transmission over a PMCH or PMCCH between an evolved Node B (eNB) and user equipment (UE). For these examples, the information in the IEs include indications of whether higher order modulation for quadrature amplitude modulation (QAM) have or have not been enabled. Both the UE and the eNB may operate in compliance with one or more 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) Long Term Evolution (LTE) standards.

Abstract: Technology for a user equipment (UE) operable for channel state information (CSI) reporting for selected bandwidth parts is disclosed. The UE can be configured to decode CSI reporting parameters for one or more bandwidth parts (BWPs). Abstract: An apparatus of a user equipment (UE) configured for a transmission mode 10 (TM 10) and operable to perform downlink coordinated multi-point (CoMP) operations with a single transmission point (TP) is disclosed. The apparatus can decode configuration information for a non-zero channel state information reference signal (NZP CSI-RS) resource received from a serving cell. The apparatus can decode configuration information for a measurement restriction for the NZP CSI-RS resource for the UE received from the serving cell. The apparatus can configure the UE with a quasi-co-location (QCL) type A and not a QCL type B based on the measurement restriction. The apparatus can decode channel state information reference signals (CSI-RS) received from the single transmission point in the configured NZP CSI-RS resource on different downlink (DL) subframes.

Abstract: Technology for a user equipment (UE) operable to adjust a receiver timing is disclosed. The UE can decode a plurality of channel-state information reference signals (CSI-RSs) received from a plurality of cooperating nodes, wherein the plurality of cooperating nodes are included in a coordination set of a Coordinated MultiPoint (CoMP) system. The UE can generate a plurality of received RS timings from the plurality of CSI-RSs, wherein the received RS timings represent timings from the plurality of cooperating nodes. The UE can determine a composite received RS timing from the plurality of received RS timings. The UE can adjust the receiver timing based on the composite received RS timing.

Abstract: Embodiments of providing enhanced interference measurements for CSI feedback are generally described herein. In some embodiments, CSI-IM resources are used by UE to perform interference measurements. The serving cell determines a hopping pattern for varying a position of the determined CSI-IM resources in subframes transmitted to the served UE. The determined CSI-IM resources and the determined CSI-IM resources hopping pattern are transmitted to the served UE. The serving node transmits a zero-power (ZP) CSI-RS. The serving node receives an interference measurement from the served UE based on CSI-IM and ZP CSI-RS provided to the served UE from the serving cell. Collisions between the CSI-IM of the serving node and CSI-IM of the non-serving nodes are minimized by the determined CSI-IM resources hopping pattern.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for transmission and reception of SPS communications are disclosed herein. User equipment (UE) is configured to receive, in a first subframe, a physical downlink control channel or enhanced physical downlink control channel (PDCCH/EPDCCH) corresponding to semi-persistent scheduling (SPS) activation. The PDCCH/EPDCCH conveys a value of nSCID. The UE configures, based on the SPS activation, a downlink (DL) assignment in a second subframe for receiving an SPS physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) without a corresponding PDCCH/EPDCCH. The UE determines a reference signal sequence corresponding to the SPS PDSCH using nSCID derived from the PDCCH/EPDCCH corresponding to the associated SPS activation. The UE receives the SPS PDSCH in a second subframe. The UE processes the SPS PDSCH based on the reference signal sequence for the SPS PDSCH in the second subframe using the nSCID derived from the PDCCH/EPDCCH corresponding to the associated SPS activation. The UE is configured for transmission mode 10 (TM10).
