Abstract:
An imaging device having a lens focusing light from a selected scene within an optical footprint, and a substrate including a primary array and at least one navigation array which are positioned within the optical footprint. The primary array acquires a desired image of a portion of the selected scene during an integration period and the at least one navigation array acquires a series of images during the integration period, including a first and a second image having common features from the selected scene. A correlator determines location differences of the common features of the first and second images relative to the at least one navigation array and provides a displacement signal indicative of imaging device translation in two planar dimensions during an interval between the first and second images based on the location differences.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method of repairing crystal defects buried within a specimen (10) deriving from a semiconductor device. This specimen (10) is prepared by the use of a focused ion beam that has caused said defects. The method consists in subjecting the specimen (10) to a laser annealing operation, the laser (12) having a power low enough not to melt the semiconductor material of the specimen (10) but high enough to eliminate the defects.Application to the preparation of specimens that have to be analysed by electron microscopy.
Abstract:
A transmitter (106, 120, 118, 122 and 110) of a platform (100) is arranged to generate a transmission pulse which is transmitted to a receiver (212, 224 and 208) of another platform (200) and is also arranged to couple its transmission pulse to a digital receiver (104) associated with its platform (100) via attenuater (126) and coupler (124). The other platform (200) performs a similar task. Each digital receiver (108, 208) determines the time separation between its transmission pulse and received pulse from the other platform (100 or 200). The determined time separation information is shared with the other platform (100, 200) and each digital receiver (108, 208) then determines a time offset (Δt) between the time at its platform (100) and the other platform (200).

The compounds are expected to be useful for therapy, for example in the treatment of psychotic disorders and cognitive impairment.
Abstract:
A system and method for optimizing the rankings of web pages of a commercial website within search engine keyword search results. A proxy website is created based on the content on the commercial website. When a search engine spider reaches the commercial website, the commercial website directs the search engine spider to the proxy website. The proxy website includes a series of proxy web pages that correspond to web pages on the commercial website along with modifications that enhance the rankings of the pages by the search engines. However, hyperlinks containing complex, dynamic URLs are replaced with spider-friendly versions. When a human visitor selects a proxy web page listing on the search engine results page, that visitor is directed to the proxy web page. The proxy server delivers the same content to the human visitor as to the search engine spider, only with simplified URLs for the latter.
Abstract:
An interferometer arrangement includes an antenna array that receives radiation from a plane wave emitted by a transmitter, the radiation being incident on the array at an angle (θ). The array includes a plurality of antennas that provide output signals to a switching unit. The switching unit selects pairs of signals and passes them to a processor for processing. The processor is configured to produce an output signal that unambiguously indicates the value of the angle (θ).
Abstract:
A CD and DVD index sheet includes a tabbed single- or multi-page sheet placed on or between CD or DVD discs stored on a spool. The index sheet tab extends beyond the circumference of the discs and may be written or printed on to provide easy identification of an individual disc on the spool. The remainder of the index sheet may be printed or written on to provide additional information.
Abstract:
An apparatus for treating pollutants in a gas may include a source of hydrogen peroxide, and a treatment injector for creating and injecting dissociated hydrogen peroxide into the flow of gas. The treatment injector may further include an injector housing having an inlet, an outlet, and a hollow interior extending therebetween. The inlet may be connected in fluid communication with the source of hydrogen peroxide so that hydrogen peroxide flows through the hollow interior and toward the outlet. At least one ultraviolet (UV) lamp may be positioned within the hollow interior of the injector housing. The at least one UV lamp may dissociate the hydrogen peroxide flowing through the tube. The dissociated hydrogen peroxide may be injected into the flow of gas from the outlet for treating pollutants, such as nitrogen oxides.
Abstract:
Molecular sieves are prepared by forming a reaction mixture slurry, spray drying the reaction mixture slurry to form particles, and heating the spray dried reaction mixture at a temperature and pressure sufficient to cause crystallization of the molecular sieve. The reaction mixture contains an organic templating agent capable of forming the molecular sieve. The template may be added to the reaction mixture either by adding all of the template prior to spray drying, or by adding a portion of the template prior to spray drying with the remainder being added after spray drying.
Abstract:
The present invention concerns a functional fluid comprising A) 1 to 99% by weight based on the total weight of the functional fluid of alkyl(meth)acrylate polymers obtainable by polymerizing a mixture of olefinically unsaturated monomers, which consists of a) 1-100 wt % based on the total weight of the ethylenically unsaturated monomers of one or more ethylenically unsaturated ester compounds of formula (I) where R is hydrogen or methyl, R1 means a linear or branched alkyl residue with 1-6 carbon atoms, R2 and R3 independently represent hydrogen or a group of the formula —COOR′, where R′ means hydrogen or a alkyl group with 1-6 carbon atoms, b) 0-99 wt % based on the total weight of the ethylenically unsaturated monomers of one or more ethylenically unsaturated ester compounds of formula (II) where R is hydrogen or methyl, R4 means a linear or branched alkyl residue with 7-40 carbon atoms, R5 and R6 independently are hydrogen or a group of the formula —COOR″, where R″ means hydrogen or an alkyl group with 7-40 carbon atoms, c) 0-50 wt % based on the total weight of the ethylenically unsaturated monomers comonomers, and B) 1 to 99% by weight based on the total weight of the functional fluid of an oxygen containing compound selected from to group of organophosphorus compounds, carboxylic acid esters and/or polyether polyols.
