Abstract:
An electrolyte membrane includes a nanocomposite ion complex that is a reaction product of a nanocomposite with a basic polymer. The nanocomposite includes a polymer having a sulfonic acid group and an unmodified clay. Either the unmodified clay has a layered structure and is dispersed in the polymer having the sulfonic acid group, and the polymer is intercalated between layers of the clay or the unmodified clay has an exfoliated structure and the exfoliated layers of the unmodified clay are dispersed in the polymer. The electrolyte membrane shows high mechanical strength, high ionic conductivity, and excellent methanol crossover impeding properties even when the degree of sulfonation of the polymer having the sulfonic acid group is high. When a methanol aqueous solution is used as a fuel, the fuel cell including the electrolyte membrane has a low methanol crossover, and thus, has a high operational efficiency and a long lifetime.

Abstract:
Methods for enhancing the release and/or absorption of poorly water soluble active agents are described herein. The method involves dissolving, melting, or suspending a poorly water soluble active agent in one or more molten fatty acids, conjugated fatty acids, (semi-) solid surfactants of high HLB value, and/or hydrophilic polymers. The molten active agent mixture is then suspended and homogenized in a hydrophilic or lipophilic carrier to form microparticles suspended in the hydrophilic or lipophilic carrier. The particles suspended in the hydrophilic or lipophilic carrier can be encapsulated in a hard or soft gelatin or non-gelatin capsule. It is believed that the microparticles produced by the method described above will exhibit enhanced dissolution profiles. In vitro release studies of formulations containing cilostazol and fenofibrate showed 100% dissolution of cilostazol in 15 minutes and over 90% dissolution of fenofibrate in 35 minutes.

A remote control system and method are disclosed that can remotely control user data stored in a remote portable terminal. The system includes a slave terminal, set in a remote control function, for storing the user data, and a master terminal for requesting the user data from the slave terminal and receiving it. The slave terminal authenticates the master terminal when the master terminal requests the user data therefrom, compresses the requested user data, according to the size of user data, during the authentication, and transmits the compressed user data to the master terminal. The slave terminal includes a memory for storing the user data, information regarding the master terminal, and a remote control password, a remote controlling unit for extracting the requested user data when the authenticated master terminal requests a transmission of the user data from the slave terminal, wherein the master terminal is authenticated by the stored remote control password, a compressing unit for compressing the user data by a compressing algorithm if the size of the user data is greater than a reference size, and a Radio Frequency (RF) communication unit for transmitting the user data to the master terminal.

A method of manufacturing a printed circuit board including embedded capacitors, composed of a polymer condenser laminate including a plurality of polymer condenser layers, each of which has a polymer sheet and a conductor pattern formed on the polymer sheet, and a via hole for interlayer connection therethrough, and a circuit layer formed on either surface or both surfaces of the polymer condenser laminate and having a circuit pattern and a via hole for interlayer connection therethrough. The printed circuit board manufactured by the method of the current invention has higher capacitance density per unit area than conventional embedded capacitor printed circuit boards, whereby capacitors having various capacitance values, such as multilayered ceramic capacitors having high capacitance, can be embedded in the printed circuit board, instead of being mounted thereon.
