Abstract: Embodiments described herein provide for a fluid management system and a method of utilizing the fluid management system. The fluid management system includes a servicing fluid management system and an ink management system. The servicing fluid management system and the ink management system run in parallel within an inkjet chamber. The ink management system supports the flow of inkjet materials between a waste tank, one or more inkjet material supply tanks, an ink management module, and the inkjet printer. The servicing fluid management system supports the flow of servicing fluids between the waste tank, one or more servicing fluid supply tanks, a servicing fluid management module, and the inkjet printer.

Abstract: A LED display fabrication tool includes a plurality of chambers including an initial chamber, a final chamber, and a plurality of intermediate chambers, and the plurality of chambers are arranged to form a transfer line from the initial chamber to the final chamber with each intermediate chamber coupled by a first sealable port to a prior chamber in the transfer line and by a second sealable port to a subsequent chamber in the transfer line. The plurality of chambers include first and second dispensing chambers to deliver first and second color conversion precursors onto a workpiece for fabrication of a light emitting diode (LED) displays, and first and second washing/drying chambers to remove uncured portions of the first and second color conversion precursors. First and second curing stations cure the precursors.

Abstract: A method of fabricating a multi-color display includes dispensing a photo-curable fluid that includes a color conversion agent over a display having a backplane and an array of light emitting diodes electrically integrated with backplane circuitry of the backplane, activating a plurality of light emitting diodes in the array of light emitting diodes to illuminate and cure the first photo-curable fluid to form a color conversion layer over each of the first plurality of light emitting diodes to convert light from the plurality of light emitting diodes to light of a first color, and removing an uncured remainder of the first photo-curable fluid. This process is repeated with a fluid having different color conversion components for another color.

Abstract: An additive manufacturing apparatus includes a platform, one or more supports positioned above the platform, an actuator, a first powder dispenser that is attached to and moves with a first support from the one or more supports and is configured to selectively dispense a first powder onto the build area, a first binder material dispenser configured to selectively dispense a first binder material on a voxel-by-voxel basis to an uppermost layer of powder in the build area to form a volume of the layer having powder and binder material and corresponding to a cross-sectional portion of a part being built, a third dispensing system configured to deliver a densification material to the layer of powder or the combined layer of powder and binder material, and an energy source configured to emit radiation toward the platform so as to solidify the binder material.

Abstract: A method of fabricating an object by additive manufacturing includes forming a green part by successively forming a plurality of layers of the green part, and processing the green part to fuse the powder into a solid mass. For each layer of the green part, a layer of powder is dispensed onto a build area on a platform, wherein the selective dispensing covers less than all of the build area, a binder material is selectively dispensed onto the layer of powder to form a combined layer of powder and binder material, and radiation is directed toward the platform so as to solidify the binder material to form a layer of the plurality of layers of the green part in which the powder is held by the solidified binder material.

Abstract: A photocurable composition includes a nanomaterial selected to emit radiation in a first wavelength band in the visible light range in response to absorption of radiation in a second wavelength band in the UV or visible light range. The second wavelength band is different than the first wavelength band. The photocurable composition further includes one or more (meth)acrylate monomers, a thiol crosslinker, and a photoinitiator that initiates polymerization of the one or more (meth)acrylate monomers in response to absorption of radiation in the second wavelength band. A light-emitting device includes a plurality of light-emitting diodes and the cured photocurable composition in contact with a surface through which radiation in a first wavelength band in the UV or visible light range is emitted from each of the light-emitting diodes.
