    摘要: The attenuation or isolation of environmental parameters on a gastric lumen is described herein. Once tissue plications are formed into a gastric lumen or sleeve within a stomach, the newly formed lumen is subjected to a multitude of fluctuating stresses or pressure from food or fluids passing therethrough, from naturally-occurring contractions, and/or from changes in pH levels from caustic stomach acids and hormones. The tissue interface between these plications can be isolated from such environmental fluctuations, or the fluctuations can be attenuated, by a number of methods. One example is to place a gastric stent or sleeve within the newly formed lumen. Another example is to utilize multiple rows of anchors, clips, or sutures along the interface. Alternatively, bio-adhesives can be dispensed to buttress the tissue interface. In another variation, the tissue can be approximated in different configurations which effectively reduce or isolate the adhered tissue region.

    摘要: Methods and apparatus for the endoluminal revision of previously performed obesity procedures which have failed are described. One or more endoluminal instruments may be advanced per-orally into the previously formed failed pouch where a number of different procedures can be performed. One or more tissue folds can be formed and secured to reduce the size of the pouch, or the stoma connecting the pouch to the intestinal tract can be reduced in size using endoluminally deployed tissue anchors. These procedures can be performed entirely from within the pouch lumen or upon the exterior surface of the pouch via transgastric entry of the instruments into the peritoneal cavity of a patient. Alternatively, the interior tissue within the pouch can be injured or sclerosed to shrink the pouch lumen. In another alterative, a length of the Roux limb can be shortened endoluminally to create a malabsorptive region.

    摘要: A method and system for providing a magnetic memory is described. The method and system include providing magnetic memory cells, local and global word lines, bit lines, and source lines. Each magnetic memory cell includes a magnetic element and a selection device connected with the magnetic element. The magnetic element is programed by first and second write currents driven through the magnetic element in first and second directions. The local word lines are connected with the selection device of and have a first resistivity. Each global word line corresponds to a portion of the local word lines and has a resistivity lower than the first resistivity. The bit lines are connected with the magnetic element.     摘要: An MTJ cell including an insulator layer of material between magnetic material layers with the insulator layer of material having a greater attraction for a third material than the magnetic material layers. The third material is introduced to one or both so that when the cell is heated the third material is redistributed from the magnetic material layer to the insulator layer. Upon redistribution the insulator layer becomes an insulator layer material. Also, a first diffusion barrier layer is positioned between a first metal electrode and one of the magnetic material layers and/or a second diffusion barrier layer is positioned between a second metal electrode and the other magnetic material layer to prevent diffusion of the metal in the electrodes into the magnetic material layers.
