    Abstract: A data transmission method and apparatus are provided, which can improve a throughput rate of a system, and improve data transmission performance and user experience. The method comprises determining a target bit sequence. In the system state, a peak-to-average power ratio PAPR corresponding to the target bit sequence is less than a PAPR that corresponds to a bit sequence corresponding to the data length of the target data. The method comprises adding the target bit sequence to length bits that are in a legacy signal field of a target preamble, and performing transmit power enhancement processing on a legacy short training field, a legacy long training field, and the legacy signal field that are in the target preamble according to the transmit power amplification limit.

    Abstract: Embodiments provide a terminal, a base station, a system, and a notification method. The terminal includes: a receiving module, configured to receive a system message broadcasted by a base station, where the system message carries resource configuration information of a dedicated channel, and the dedicated channel is used to transmit application data that is transmitted discontinuously and that has a length less than a preset threshold. The terminal also includes a reading module, configured to read the resource configuration information of the dedicated channel from the system message and store the resource configuration information. The terminal also includes a sending module, configured to send, by using the dedicated channel and to the base station, the application data that is transmitted discontinuously and that has the length less than the preset threshold.

    Abstract: A data transmission indication method and apparatuses carrying out the method are described herein. The method includes sending, by an access point, orthogonal frequency division multiple access (OFDMA) physical layer signaling to a terminal. The OFDMA physical layer signaling indicates, to the terminal, a subchannel allocated for the terminal, so that the terminal determines the subchannel according to the OFDMA physical layer signaling. The OFDMA physical layer signaling includes an identifier of the terminal and subchannel information corresponding to the identifier of the terminal. A manner in which the access point allocates a subchannel for each terminal according to OFDMA physical layer signaling enables the access point to indicate subchannels for more terminals.
