    摘要: The present invention is directed to a water-in-oil (w/o) emulsion ink comprising an oil phase and an aqueous phase. The oil phase comprises a liquid resin having a viscosity in the range of from about 1000 to about 10000 centipoise (cP) in an amount of about 0.1 to about 10 weight % as based upon the total mass of the ink. The aqueous phase comprises pigment. When the pigment comprises carbon black, all of the carbon black pigment contained within the ink has a pH of at least about 5. The invention is also directed to a process for the preparation of a w/o emulsion ink, which comprises adding an aqueous phase to an oil phase. The oil phase comprises a resin which, during manufacture of the ink, is added to the oil phase as a liquid having a viscosity in the range of from about 1000 to about 10000 cP, and the ink comprises pigment which, during manufacture of the ink, is added to the aqueous phase. When the pigment comprises carbon black, all of the carbon black pigment has a pH of at least about 5. The inks find particular use in stencil printing, and in particular in digital duplication.
