Abstract:
Described embodiments provide a method of effectively selecting a target cell to hand over user equipment from a LTE network to a non-LTE network when the user equipment requests a CS service. A LTE cell may determine a CS fallback hysteresis parameter in advance. The LTE cell may receive signal quality measurements of at least two candidate non-LTE cells from the user equipment. The LTE cell may select one target cell among the at least two candidate non-LTE cells based on the CS fallback hysteresis parameter and the received signal quality measurements of the at least two candidate non-LTE cells.
Abstract:
A tracking signal generating apparatus includes a phase detector and a digital phase controller. The phase detector generates an up signal and a down signal which contain information regarding a phase difference between a plurality of square wave signals that have been generated from an optical signal. The digital phase controller generates an up limit signal or a down limit signal whose logic levels are controlled so that a phase difference between the up limit signal and the down limit signal is reduced.

Abstract:
A method of compressing uplink control information in a wireless communication system where an MSS scans neighbor BSs upon request from a serving BS and transmits neighbor BS information to the serving BS. In the method, the serving BS broadcasts a neighbor advertisement message including the BS ID of at least one neighbor BS about which the serving BS wants to acquire information, and the BS ID of the at least one neighbor BS. The MSS then scans a channel from the at least one neighbor BS and transmits a scanning result along with a BS index of the at least one neighbor BS to the serving BS.
Abstract:
A method of scheduling uplink resources in a wireless communication system supporting VoIP service is provided. A BS allocates an identical amount of the resource continuously until an uplink data rate is changed by an SS's request for a data rate change. When the data rate is changed, the SS reports this event to the BS so that the BS allocates an amount of resource corresponding to the requested data rate.
Abstract:
An HARQ method for guaranteeing a QoS in a wireless communication system is provided. In a transmitting apparatus using a HARQ for transmitting packet data in a wireless communication system, a retransmission controller determines the size of redundancy information for correcting transmission errors in packet data, and a transmitter transmits the redundancy information of the determined size upon request for a retransmission of the packet data. Transmission of redundancy information of a variable size at each retransmission satisfies the QoS required for each user, maximizes a data throughput, and allows for the efficient reception of an ACK or a NACK for the redundancy information.
Abstract:
A method is provided for transmitting and receiving data in a multi-hop wireless mobile communication system having a first mobile station (MS), a second MS, a base transceiver station (BTS), and a relay BTS. The method includes allowing the first MS to directly communicate with the BTS, and allowing the second MS to communicate with the BTS by relay of the relay BTS; performing communication between the BTS and the first MS and communication between the relay BTS and the second MS using a first frame; and performing communication between the BTS and the relay BTS using a second frame.
Abstract:
An air induction manifold has manifold air passages. A carrier has air passages to communicate air from the manifold air passages to an engine. The carrier has a first sealing interface for a manifold and a second sealing interface for an engine cylinder. The first sealing interface seals the communication of air between the manifold air passage and the carrier air passage. A valve is mounted to the carrier that controls the communication of air through the carrier air passage.
Abstract:
A vehicle fuel intake system (10) includes an intake manifold (14), an injector pack assembly (18) and an air cleaner assembly (16). The injector pack assembly (18) includes an encapsulated lead frame (36) that provides electrical communication to fuel injectors (26). The intake manifold defines a fuel rail (22) and a cavity (24). Fuel vapors permeating from the fuel rail (22) are trapped in the cavity (24) and channeled back into the air intake passages (20). The air cleaner assembly (16) includes a filter (28) for absorbing fuel vapor emissions from unburned fuel escaping a non-operating engine (12). An actuator (30) moves the filter (28) between an open and closed position. Once the engine begins operation, the actuator (30) opens the filter (28) to allow unrestricted airflow through the intake manifold (14).
