摘要: A method of determining the level of a medium in a container by generating a constant magnetic field in the container, exciting an elongated sensor element to longitudinal oscillations, the sensor element being secured on one end in the container and containing a magnetostrictive material, measuring the resonant frequency of the sensor element, or the damping of the longitudinal oscillation, by means of periodically varying magnetization of the sensor element in the constant magnetic field, and determining the fill level from the resonant frequency or from the damping of the longitudinal oscillations.

摘要: A method for implementing measures to avert danger for living beings in a compartment in a motor vehicle, in which a carbon dioxide variable describing the carbon dioxide content or the rate of increase of the carbon dioxide content of the air in this space is detected; and in which a temperature variable representing the room temperature in this space is determined. The temperature variable is compared to a temperature-threshold value, and in the event that the temperature variable exceeds a temperature threshold value, the danger-averting measures in response to the temperature threshold value being exceeded are implemented only if the carbon dioxide variable has exceeded a carbon dioxide threshold value.

摘要: A micromechanical thermal-conductivity sensor is provided which includes a thermally insulated diaphragm formed by a recess in a base plate exhibiting poor thermal conductivity. At least one heating element is applied on the diaphragm, at least one temperature-dependent electrical resistor is applied on the diaphragm for measuring the temperature of the diaphragm, as well as at least one further temperature-dependent electrical resistor is applied outside of the diaphragm on the base plate for measuring the ambient temperature. On one or both of its sides, the diaphragm is covered by a porous cover plate permitting gas exchange by diffusion, a cavity being left open between the diaphragm and the porous cover plate.
